Who are they to tell us?

Harry and Dr Chris

The recent TV interviews with Dr Chris and Harry were dire.
Dr Chris looked in need of healthcare himself, frail and telling us to eat bananas beans and yogurt + vit D to keep healthy. He even had trouble remembering the good bacteria in probiotic yogurt.
Ruth Langsford, who was interviewing him, had to remind viewers that eating those things wouldn't prevent Coronavirus.
I really wish they wouldn't wheel out those old medics who used to be part of programmes years ago.
On another video I see Hazza telling, telling our government what to do regarding parents of mentally challenged children.
He looked as if he'd been pulled through a hedge backwards.
The caption said that he was Zooming with NHS staff and parents to tell them how brave and good they were and that the government should be doing more to help them.
He was talking in his capacity as head wallah of some charity or another.
Most comments said what a b*** disgrace he looked and he had no business saying anything about the UK, as he left his country, his parents, his military obligations and pals and his home and his wife hasn't even seen her father or asked him how he's doing in this crisis.
Captain Tom has done more than Harry could ever do. Not just money-wise but in his bringing together people for a common cause without any fanfare or fancy rigmarole.
Harry is a disgrace.

On some threads I'm accused of being too positive, no problems, no worries yet here I have nothing positive to say...hmmm.
There is no pleasing everyone and I'm not gonna try.
I'd just like to end this distraction by asking suziewoozie again, not to poke at the OP (me, in this case)
There will come a time when I get fed up and I really think that as a mature woman you could choose to read other threads if you don't like mine.

GabriellaG54 Fri 17-Apr-20 12:31:41

I have no 'fan club'. People either agree/like my posts or they disagree/don't like.
I welcome all views because none are necessarily right or wrong.
What I don't understand is why certain posters want to take a stab at the OP or anyone who agrees with her/him/they.
It detracts from the thread and leaves an unpleasant feeling.
I used to think Harry (and Meghan too actually) was OK but now I don't but I don't dislike him or her.
My view is that if you leave family and your country then you haven't much right to tell us that our government should be doing more during these stressful times.
They can't be miracle workers.
It's only my opinion and I don't seek to change anyone's views.
If small things amuse small minds then on, I'm small minded. Satisfied. You can call ma all the names under the sun and I'll agree as it makes no difference to me but it obviously means a lot to you to call me names.
Go ahead, spoil the thread. Make my day.

Exactly crafty. What amazes me is the size of Gabys fan club and the howls of anguish when she disappears for a while.

The guidance was not at all bizarre re bananas. It is important for the immune system to be strong and 60% of the immune system comes from the `good` bacteria in the gut. Sadly to say that many people have not treated gut bacteria very well and there is underpopulation in the gut. Bananas and beans are pre-biotics ie they feed the bacteria. Intake of good bacteria is easy as was said on the interview, yogurt but to be sure it is live yogurt. Ignore the good bacteria in your gut at your peril

Poor gabrella, nothing positive to say yet again, so out comes the wooden spoon, much easier to have a rant than be positive

I think Harry will regret his actions one day, even if he doesn't yet. I'm really sad and disappointed with him, after admiring him and his open friendliness for many years.
And no, he is definitely not in a position to lecture anyone now.

Framilode Fri 17-Apr-20 11:32:11

I agree *GabriellaG54). Harry is now irrelevant and he should shut up.

maddyone Fri 17-Apr-20 11:30:29

....not sure quite why they......

maddyone Fri 17-Apr-20 11:29:39

I’m not sure quite why released the clip of the discussion he had, I thought they were fed up of media coverage and that’s why they left royal life and settled in LA.

Nannytrace Fri 17-Apr-20 11:22:22

Harry that is.

Nannytrace Fri 17-Apr-20 11:21:46

Do you think he is regretting his actions?

suziewoozie Fri 17-Apr-20 11:16:20

Or as my mum used to say ‘little things please little minds’

suziewoozie Fri 17-Apr-20 11:15:22

Anything Urm anything?

Urmstongran Fri 17-Apr-20 11:11:56

I’m another who’s with you Gabriella. What’s wrong with a good old chat about anything?

Harry is irrelevant now in the U.K. I think deep down he knows that but he’s trying. Actually, he’s very trying!

suziewoozie Fri 17-Apr-20 10:19:45

Chew really, any other? Really?

Anniebach Fri 17-Apr-20 10:16:04

They left this country because of media coverage !

Chewbacca Fri 17-Apr-20 09:51:38

Good post Gabriella and just as good a topic for discussion as any other.

JenniferEccles Fri 17-Apr-20 09:48:01

Given Meghan’s well publicised intense dislike of Donald Trump and considering they have made the US their home , I’m surprised Harry still thinks it’s appropriate to lecture us.

I have lost all patience with him for not being strong enough to stand up to his controlling, manipulative wife.

Sparklefizz Fri 17-Apr-20 09:09:07

BlueBelle Lets all have a go at Harry

I, for one, have never wanted to "have a go" at Harry. I was fond of him for years, but I can't stand hypocrisy or self-centredness or whingeing or being preached at, and Harry seems to have become good at all of these. He brings everything back to himself. He has no right to criticise anything in the UK now.

GrannyGravy13 Fri 17-Apr-20 09:07:06

GabriellaG54 I walked into the kitchen to see Dr.Chris and was amazed, maybe he is unwell as his guidance was very bizarre!!!

I saw a snippit of Prince Harry speaking to a disabled teenager and her Mother whom he had met previously, but missed his advice to Government. I must admit I thought he had left all that sort of thing behind?

I do think that lockdown has brought some old worms crawling out of the woodwork who apparently are all epidemiologists and armchair experts.

(I for one enjoy your posts GabriellaG54 especially as I am unable to run or ride at the moment)

Sparklefizz Fri 17-Apr-20 09:05:00

Annie He should lecture to the country where he has chosen to make his home and start a new life.

Totally agree, Annie, and also agree with Gabriella.

Capt Tom has done more than Harry could ever do, and he is a humble modest hero which we, the public, have taken to our hearts.

Smileless2012 Fri 17-Apr-20 09:04:46

I suppose he's trying to be relevant; I wish he wouldn't.

Anniebach Fri 17-Apr-20 08:59:13

He should lecture to the country where he has chosen to make
his home and start a new life.

GabriellaG54 Fri 17-Apr-20 08:52:48

Is everybody off limits?
Can't comment on appearance, can't comment on ex Royalty or headline grabbers or riding a horse or buying unnecessary stuff or being happy...
It's gonna be boring.

BBbevan Fri 17-Apr-20 06:37:51

Sorry annsixty My kindle did its own thing there

BBbevan Fri 17-Apr-20 06:36:37
