I feel very cynical about people donating millions now to the NHS, which has been short of everything for years, thanks to Tory policy of austerity, privatising and running down health and care services for ten years. Their aim has always been to replace the NHS with for-profit companies and US-style health insurance. There are millions of US citizens who cannot afford any healthcare at all.
Remember the government turning down a pay rise for public sector workers then applauding themselves?
If you voted-in this government you shouldn’t be donating money on social media or food for hospital staff, who never get more than a cup of tea during normal 13 hour shifts.
The care services all need proper funding from taxation, not charity.
