Good Morning Everyone,
Its another blue sky start to the day here in Brackley .
I heard from GN that in the forums there are 5 dedicated areas where you can post as to COVD-19 ,and Lockdown experiences .
Anyway, supermarket this morning , hopefully they will have the DVD of the last Star Wars in.
I have ordered a hair trimmer online ,and hope to get it soon.

Good morning from a sunny Market Harborough.
Stay safe and sane during these mad times.

Thank you Urmston and Lins. Dexter is somewhat better. He is still trying to scratch his eye but we are trying to get him into a more normal routine. We decided that I just panic him so DH has taken over the eyedrops and he is more successful than I was. I so wish my SiL would magically appear though!

Urmstongran, the weather is so upside down isn’t it, we have a friend who’s home is in Spain but has got marooned here due to hospital appointments at the start of the lockdown he is enjoying the amazing sunny weather here. normally a ‘sun worshipper’ it has has lightened thing up a bit for him,
I must say if it was still typically April at the moment the days would be even slower doing what I do each day. Nothing!!!!

Good morning from a sunny Morecambe Bay. Another blue sky but less wind so I expect it will get quite warm later. This morning’s exercise was a 4 mile walk, and after I’ve recovered with a bucket of tea, I’m off to garden for an elderly neighbour. I used to garden all day everyday if it was dry, but these days I’ve had enough after a couple of hours. Everything in the garden is flowering about a month earlier than usual and one of my favourite plants, ‘Molly the Witch is in flower. Take care and keep safe everyone.

Goodmorning Mick and all x

I am late this morning couldn't sleep last night and when I did doze off I had such vivid dreams which were unsettling.
I feel a sense of dread, I just cannot see us being able to go about our daily lives freely any time soon. When I heard about the vaccine trials starting on human volunteers from tomorrow I was relieved first of all, then I became worried for the brave souls who are going to be risking their lives for us all.

I am off to give myself a shake, and await a delivery from Morrisons (I do not shop in Morrisons but it was the only delivery I could get)

See you (virtually) in the morning when I shall be my usual chirpy self. Keep safe and well folks ?

Happy birthday sweetpea ??

Hello Urmstongran and gillybob

SusieB50, I just wanted you to know you are not alone. ? for you and for Sweetpea, happy birthday

Good morning from the NE coast where it is bright and sunny but still quite cold. It didn’t make it over 10 degrees here yesterday.

The call backs I was waiting for yesterday didn’t materialise so will be hoping for today . I feel like I’m treading water.

I got 3 little lupins delivered from a well known plant/seed supplier yesterday beginning with S and they are absolutely disgraceful. I had ordered them way back in February and completely forgot about them . One is completely dead and crisp, the other 2 are almost dead with about 2 withered stalks each . They were only £15 for the three but they say online that you have to return them at your own expense which surely can’t be right can it? Any ideas?

Doing a weekly shop for my dad later, his list is getting longer.

Wishing I had something positive to say so best not say anything else.

A very happy birthday to you Sweetpea60 I hope you have the best day possible flowers

Sorry to hear you had a poor night kittylester I hope you manage to have a little catch up later. It’s horrible when you can’t sleep.

Thinking about all my lovely Gransnet friends .
Love
Gillybob xx

Are you okay dragonfly? Yesterday you seemed overwhelmed. You have Dexter to worry over too. I hope you have a better day today. Remember, a trouble shared and all that...

Happy birthday Sweetpea ??
Easy to say I know Susan, but try not to worry about Henry. It sounds as though he is being well monitored.
Hope Dexter is a bit better dragonfly.
Those pork chops sound good Urmston, enjoy.
Stay safe everyone.

Good morning,

It's another glorious morning here in South Yorkshire and at the moment it is less breezy.

Got some broad beans to pot on - they're growing at a rate of knots, whereas the dwarf beans, planted at the same time, are still no shows. I think I'll plant some more of them to be safe.

Went to the supermarket yesterday and it was very quiet inside. They let the queue outside grow a bit, then let some in. It's a fortnight since I last went, so needed to stock up again. Still no flour though, not a single bag. I'm sure they must be holding it back. Luckily, I've still got enough to be going on with.

Happy birthday, Sweetpea60. Enjoy your day. ????

Sorry you had such worries yesterday, BlueSapphire and I hope today brings you more peace of mind. Take care.

Well, I'd better stir myself, I need to wash my hair.

Keep safe everyone.

Bright and sunny here. Going to allotment this morning, must sow some seeds which have finally arrived , will do that this afternoon. Then get on with re-covering my sofa, have got the inside back done and started on the inside arm which fiddly. Have a good day everyone.

Susan56 Wed 22-Apr-20 08:51:52

Good morning from the Shropshire borders.Another sunny but breezy day.
Happy 60th birthday Sweetpea???
Thank you Marydoll.Henry is up and down.Have been feeling a bit upset about it all.The dietician is keeping in regular touch withDD and is very encouraging but keeps saying it will be so much better when he can have the tests he needs but he can’t have the tests until the hospital is a safe place for him to be which isn’t going to be anytime soon.
DH made a curry yesterday. He put in an extra spoonful of curry powder as he didn’t think it tasted hot enough.Later in the evening I had what I thought was a fever and sore throat and was quietly panicking but realised it was just a reaction to the curry!
Have the bes,t day you can everyone.

Bright and cool this morning. Yet more laundry to tackle plus yesterday’s ironing but not much else in prospect. I yearn for conversation face to face but that is not on the horizon yet, so will just have to make the best of things. Plenty of weeding if I feel inclined!

Good to hear from Gilly yesterday. Hope she and all GNers with worries have a better day.

Kalu Wed 22-Apr-20 08:49:13

Happy Birthday Sweetpea ??

Brunette my sleep pattern has gone all wonky too, in fact I have no pattern at the moment so I have given up bothering about it and just accept it is what it is at the moment as there is no usual structure to my day anyway. ?‍♀️?

brook2704 Wed 22-Apr-20 08:45:38

Happy Birthday Sweetpea have a lovely day ! ?????

SusieB50 Wed 22-Apr-20 08:36:50

Good morning to all from East London, another lovely day here
again . I would love to be walking along by the sea . Nothing much to say and beginning to get quite down with all this and missing actual proper contact . Getting fed up with virtual stuff ..

harrigran Wed 22-Apr-20 08:32:15

Good morning from a bright NE.
Yesterday didn't really happen for me, I had been poorly during the night and went back to bed at 7am and slept until 4pm when my neighbour rang me.
She lives on her own but was checking to see if DH and I were alright.
She told me that one of our neighbours has the virus , has been in hospital and is now home. I am not surprised because I had seen her relatives going into the house on several occasions and had commented to DH about this especially the one wearing a supermarket uniform for a local shop.
Nice to see gilly post yesterday, stay safe.

Happy Birthday Sweetpea60 - flowers

Good Morning from Fife where the sun is shining once again. It is a bit cool yet but it's to warm up to a nice temperature later on. I could not sleep last night after boasting I was sleeping so well at the moment. For some reason I just could not sleep. We did usual amount of chores, exercising yesterday as we have been doing so not sure why I could not sleep. Anyway I have all day to recover. Marydoll - no worries I don't actually normally join in things like that but on the other hand I don't like not carrying on for others too if you know what I mean. Hoping everyone is taking good care of themselves. You know how to look after yourselves. Chin up everyone.

Sar53 Wed 22-Apr-20 08:28:45

Good morning everyone from another bright and sunny day in Essex by the sea.
Ironing, again, and admin to do today. Each day seems to blend into the next.
DH has made a start on decorating the hall, well the ceiling is painted so far. He has a training session booked at 11 to do with his work. They are running these whilst most of the staff are on furlough.
My jigsaw is nearly finished, just the dreaded trees to complete and my current book is proving quite a good read.
Have the best day you can and stay safe everyone xx
