Good Morning Everyone,

I heard from GN that in the forums there are 5 dedicated areas where you can post as to COVD-19 ,and Lockdown experiences .
Anyway, supermarket this morning , hopefully they will have the DVD of the last Star Wars in.
I have ordered a hair trimmer online ,and hope to get it soon.

Good morning everyone from a sunny docklands its my 60th birthday today unfortunatly its under lockdown but still at least the sun is shining .ive got my birthday cake and a nice bottle of wine for later . Cant help but wonder where have all the years gone. It seems the years just fly by at warp speed lol.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. I haven’t seen the last Star Wars film yet, Mick, but I’m looking forward to it. Hope you enjoy it if you manage to get the DVD. Intermittently sunny in South Yorkshire but still cold. We spent yesterday cleaning out all our garden pots with Jeyes Fluid solution - horrible but necessary. They are now ready to take our new bedding plants when the night frosts are past. Today we’ll take a short walk, but first I have a pile of ironing to tackle (there’s always a downside!). Have the best day you can folks and stay safe!

Good morning from sunny Colchester. Crumpets for breakfast and washing on the line.
We are continuing our Wednesday coffee morning online so I need to do my hair.
The excitement here is because our recycling will be collected in the morning....we have six weeks worth of paper and plastic to put out!

Good morning from a sunny NE Hampshire. This morning I received a message from a very dear (well, she was) friend. Only 35 claps to C...........s! Someone is off that card list ?. Keep well and stay safe everyone.

BlueSapphire Wed 22-Apr-20 08:08:00

Thank you Urmstongran. Will try to keep busy and not overthink things.

Mythbirtthedragon Wed 22-Apr-20 08:03:40

Good morning from east London, blue skies, sunny but needs to warm up a bit. Then again, it is still only April. DP was complaining yesterday morning about feeling sick; then he remembered the previous night he’d eaten a full box of chocolate caramel rabbits while he was watching a film. Should I be surprised? This morning I’m joining the dance class again then later will make a cake for DD as it’s her birthday tomorrow and we’ll be doing a doorstop drop. There will be a walk at some time. Have a good day.

Urmstongran Wed 22-Apr-20 07:56:04

I hope you have a less anxious day today BlueSapphire. It’s easy to spiral into ‘what ifs’ about our health right now isn’t it?

Good morning everyone from a lovely sunny Inverness - it makes such a difference when the sun shines and it’s getting quite warm too.

More time outside today , I’ve been asking my DH to spruce up the outside paintwork, fence and general tidying up outside etc as well as the usual gardening. So far I’ve managed to keep him busy ?...

I was waiting for a FaceTime from DD1 and two DGS yesterday but their dad was looking after them all afternoon whilst DD was working from home and they forgot! Oh well I’m pleased they were all busy and will try again today !

Sorry to hear you had a bad night kitty and good luck when you start your new job Scentia

Hope everyone has the best day they can and take care if you need to go out ?

Pantglas2 Wed 22-Apr-20 07:48:56

Morning everyone from another sunny day in north Wales where I’m still lolling abed awaiting the chamberpot which DH volunteered to fetch! My exercises will have to wait awhile I play catch up on here!

This weather is so upside down - friends in Greece, Spain and France all say it’s been bad there for weeks and here we are having a marvellous spring! Bet they all have a better summer though!

Job for today is cleaning windows - the downside of above is flies and wasps coming indoors and pooping on em! Stay safe everybody x

Good morning all from a sunny, but cool Glasgow. The temperature is due to rise to 61F, so a pleasant day in store.

I plan to cut DH's hair today, if I can muster up the courage. It needs done, but I'm sure I will make a total mess of it. I saw my friend across the road, through the window, cutting her husband's hair. My hairdresser once tried to demonstrate how to do it, but I can't for the life of me remember how to do it. confused
I think I will start with a high number blade, just in case! He doesn't have much hair, anyway so it won't really matter! wink

Another day of pottering about. I plan to make crumpets (the Scottish kind), they are a bit like the pikelets you were talking about yesterday. DH has requested a rhubarb crumble, with home made chicken soup for lunch, so plenty to keep me busy.

Kitty, sorry to hear you had a bad night, I hope you feel better as the day goes on. Hoping that wee Henry stays well and of course, our dear Gilly.
There are some posters on here, who are very low, so for them ? and a welcome to the fair number of new ones.
Brunette, I promise to look for a recipe, but typing on a phone is so difficult for me. Hence the delay! blush.

Take care everyone, Urmstongran, keep counting down!

Good morning everyone from a sunny Northampton. Planning on staying calm today as I had a real wobble yesterday. Keep being convinced I've got the virus even though I've got no symptoms; it's funny once I've got the thought in my head I can't get rid of it. Bit of a panic/anxiety attack again, I think.

Had a nice video chat last night with the whole family which lifted me. We are going to try an online quiz tonight.

Will do my Joe Wicks exercises this morning, ballet this afternoon and then cut the back grass. I have got it down to a nice short length now, and want to keep it that way.

Just logged into Sainsburys and have got a slot for Friday, so put an order in quickly, but forgot to order steak, so will have to do that later.
Also reduced my electricity direct debit, and cancelled my BT Music subscription; their selection is not at all to my taste and I have only tried it a couple of times.

Mick, you will enjoy the final Star Wars film, it was excellent. I was in tears at the end to think that it was the end of the saga. Remember watching the very first one back in 1977.

Hoping the day turns out well for all.

Good morning, sunny again here in Cheshire. A friend of mine is involved in making Scrubs for our local hospital and yesterday asked if I would like to get involved. So I had a very busy sewing afternoon; more of the same today. It's years since I have made a garment, I just do the odd alteration now; I had forgotten how relaxing sewing is, the afternoon just flew by.

Glad to see that Gillybob has posted, hope that she gets the help she is waiting for, fingers crossed. Take care everyone.

Good morning. Looks sunny in Hampshire again . Found out my cuttings had rooted so I potted them up. No rooting powder. So a good gardening morning in my little garden.

NannyJan53 Wed 22-Apr-20 07:39:16

Good Morning from another bright and sunny Black Country.

If it wasn't for Mick starting this thread, I wouldn't have a clue what day it was smile

Partner is furloughed, and he is getting on with clearing the bottom of our garden. The garden is in 3 steps. Patio, then down steps to the lawned area. Then lots more steps to the bottom where there is a green house and a lot of weeds ! The plan is to clear and pave most of it, and have a large shed. There is a plot where we could grow vegetables, but because it is in shade most of the time we are not sure if that would work? Worth a try though.

Exercises, shower, then my daily video chat with Mum. Then no idea what I will be doing! Play it by ear.

Wishing you all a good day, with special love to gill

ninathenana Wed 22-Apr-20 07:33:04

Good morning.
Bright again in Kent. Grandamafrench 3 days of rain, sad I'm assuming your in France ? I've not heard anything like that here.
Shopping day for us.
Have a good day everyone.

Urmstongran Wed 22-Apr-20 07:28:06

Good morning everyone from Malaga where it’s trying to be sunny but there are huge black clouds over them thar mountains! Yesterday was so windy and cold I had to put some socks on, as well as wearing a thicker jumper to keep warm. The long range forecast is for more of this, off and on, for another week - then finally we get the more usual wall to wall sunshine. Bring it on!

Wednesday = slow cooker day. I’ve got some thick pork steaks, mushrooms and tinned tomatoes, plenty for the 3 of us.

I’m two-thirds of the way through an audio book. ‘The White Queen’ by Philippa Gregory. Her novel is a lot more flowery than the Hilary Mantel book I listened to a month ago. Oh well, it’s enjoyable enough so I’ll finish it today .... what else am I doing?

Hope Wednesday is good to us all. Keep safe, that’s the main thing. x

Morning Mick and All from a sunny South Bucks.

Sorry you had a bad night Kitty hope you are ok ?

Going to pop down to deliver a small gift to my 95 year old friend who gave me (at a distance) 3 pots of yogurt she didn’t want. My gift is a tub of double cream which she said was the only thing she fancied with honey. She is so slim and stylish, clearly cream and honey is the answer to youthful looks. ?

Puzzler61 Wed 22-Apr-20 07:25:10

Good morning to everyone. I’ve got a stiff neck today from 2 evenings of looking for linking (or should it be blinkin’) satellites. No sight of them here. Ginny42, how’s your neck?

Here in Worcs. it’s another wide blue sky - also so much green now the trees have leaves once again. Their blossoms have been a magnificent show too. I don’t think DH would agree on that as said blossom blew all over his freshly painted decking in the breezy day we had yesterday. ? looked as if a wedding had taken place out there!
Take care all.

Nannytopsy Wed 22-Apr-20 07:23:37

Good morning Mick and all his followers. Good luck with the hair clippers!
I don’t need to say what the weather is like in Suffolk do I? Lots of progress in the garden yesterday and now I have two raised beds, both planted! One is fruit, the second vegetables. Bring on number three!
Sorry you had a bad night Kitty - hope could can nap later?
Our excitement today will be a visit from the window cleaner!
I hope you have the best day possible.

kittylester Wed 22-Apr-20 07:08:19

Morning all from a bright but chilly North Leicestershire.

I had a dreadful night but need to ring the gp first thing. This afternoon I have a training webinar and then a Sainsbury's delivery. I do live an exciting life.

Stay safe everyone.

Kalu Wed 22-Apr-20 07:07:21

Good morning all. A sunny but breezy day is the forecast here for Glasgow.

Aches and pains have abated quite a bit thankfully but I will continue to take it easy today, knitting, reading or any other chair activities I can think of.

We managed to order a click and collect from B&Q last week, compost and weed killer which DH will collect later plus our window cleaner showed up yesterday? Can hardly contain my excitement?

Have the best day possible everyone. Good to see you posting again gilly

NotAGran55 Wed 22-Apr-20 06:52:22

Good morning all . Another sunny day .

I’ve had enough of this lockdown malarkey now . I like working, I miss it and everything to do with it .
Pottering around has lost its appeal now and I just want to get back to normal . My adult son moved back in for company during lockdown and he is working as is my husband. I’m furloughed so lucky I’m being paid , but I would much rather be working than this forced retirement.

My youngest son is 200 miles away living on his own in a top floor city centre flat working for M&S and said last week .

‘ Mum it is only a matter of time until I get it ‘

I am incensed by the people who continuously flout the regulations and shop repeatedly . They clearly don’t care about anyone, including themselves.

Good Morning Mick, from a bright and sunny Oxfordshire, planted load of veg seeds yesterday in the Polytunnel, and will do a few more today.DH is working through his list of 4 things to do whilst he is at home, little does he know that there are at least another 4 to do afterwards, then it will be down to professionals to do any more and he can have a rest, but not yet!
I think I’m going to start making face masks today, I’m not going to go out without one no matter what the so called experts say, at the very least they won’t harm me, so I’ll get cracking today.
Stay safe everyone and have the best day you can.

Scentia Wed 22-Apr-20 06:38:01

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire. Nice and bright out there today. I have a wash to get out on the line before work.
Had a request to join houseparty yesterday afternoon, once I accepted I saw that my DGS who is nearly 1 had got his mummy’s phone and we had a 5 minute, mostly 1 way conversation until mummy came back in the lounge and took it back. I loved it, even though it was accidental I will always believe he knew he wanted to see me. His little cheeks were beetroot, bless him and those pesky teeth❤️
I start my new job on Thursday, with a night shift. I am so excited.
Take care everyone and stay safe today.?
