I spent an hour on hold this afternoon to TUI . We should have gone on holiday in March and we have been waiting for the magic code TUI are sending so you can rebook with a 20 percent discount or ask for you money back . I tried 6 times to get through to them and was just told they were busy and cut off then by a miracle I was put on hold . We could not face the worry of rebooking and then being reluctant to go even if it was in a year's time . We cracked open a bottle of pink bubbly to celebrate . I olly wish there was something , apart for a holiday , that I really wanted .
Even a holiday in the UK would be lovely with someone else cooking for us .

Just watching my Home and Away. It's on every other evening instead of every evening for now----even that's suffering.
Don't know about later though, it's such a lovely evening.

Just sat down to catch up with GN. Had a very busy day being very productive, cleaning, baking, cooking and had a brief seat in the glorious sun. DH catching up with news then it will be Corrie at 7.30 then no doubt something recorded from last evening. A very well deserved seat I think wink

Just got in from gardening. Digging lumps of couch grass out of heavy clay, my poor back!

Just fed cats and peacocks, now for me. Jacket spud, Longley farm cottage cheese and a Asda Supergreen Quinoa & Kale Salad, which is delicious.

Then I will watch Richard and Judy Book club. Not sure what else.

We’ve ( well DH not me) hauled a wrought iron gate that was made for the side pathway, out of the brambles where it has languished for 20 years and has fixed the hinges up and it’s done, well almost, just the tricky thing about how to fix a lock on it.its incredibly heavy, but it’s up, he wants to have it shot blasted and painted but I like the shabby look, but we will save that argument for another day.
Anyway it’s up, I had to stand next to him to give moral support and pass the screws, hammer, and other bits and bobs.
Now we are having a cup of tea and a Wagon Wheel!

Right now, watching Pointless while the soup maker makes our tea. After that I’ll be ironing the curtains I’ve just brought in. I’ll have to hunt the iron first - it’s about a year since I last used it.

I’ve just got my washing in so lovely to dry it on the line. I’ve taken one of 4 Shepard’s pies I’d made out of my freezer for dinner. Watching the news brief then I’ll have dinner after 6 maybe some ice cream for dessert.

Replying to you ? sorry I couldn’t resist.
So sorry to read that you are in pain, I do hope you have some medication to help.
I am trying to decide what to cook for this evenings meal, a quick fry up or something a bit special that will need a bit of effort, ?Fry up it is then.
Best wishes .

Just back from beautiful walk. Having cup of tea. Cooking some chicken to have cold in a salad later. FaceTime with GC soon and online bridge after that. Making the best of a bad job as I know what I’d rather be doing !!

How are you all?
I’m having a cup of tea while listening to magic radio having finished my (late as I couldn’t face eating because of the pain in my legs) lunch. What about you?
