I don’t think anyone is confused about how to wear a mask and I’m not sure writing LOL constitutes a particularly good debating point. I am however confused about the return to school when nobody has any idea about how infectious children are, how ill they can be if they catch the disease, how social distancing can work in schools (it can’t), why a teacher can be in a classroom with upward of 10 4-5 year olds to whom she he is not related but cannot visit her own grandchildren. I am confused as to why England has to have different rules to Scotland wales Northern Ireland, etc etc.

I’ve just ordered some 41p each one wear only. I figure we will only wear them in confined spaces, if we ever get to that stage and won’t need them out on our walks etc. So shan’t often need to employ one.

I would love to live in a country where everyone had to wear a mask if it prevented people from dying. Then again we can’t all be the same can we....

It's OK to fine people driving to places but not to insist on masks on public transport. What have human rights got to do with it?

As a lot of people are comparing this crisis to WW2 I wonder why it was a fineable offence to go out without your gas mask then, but the decision about a face mask is now left to the individual?

It was aimed at posters on here actually who needed clarification. Also if you are worried about touching hand rails and surfaces wear gloves.

So my advice would be (for what it's worth) do whatever you feel comfortable with. I don't wear a mask or gloves but use hand sanitizer after food shopping and wash my hands as soon as I get home.

I don't suppose that crack was actually aimed at members of our community who may have low IQ or learning difficulties. I suspect it was mean to be an entertaining put down for those of us who suggest that the quality of information coming from government sources could be better.

It is not about anti-Boris or any other political leader - it is about holding the government currently in power to account; scrutinising their policies to reassure everyone that their safety is paramount. This is how democracy works.

There is no doubt at all that the first steps the government took - or failed to take - are implicated on the spread and number of deaths.

This would be up for questioning whichever party were in power.

Ah I see so if someone chooses not to wear a face mask and coughs onto the hand rails on a bus, and I am wearing a face mask but touch the rail and transfer the virus because I touch my mask it's my fault. Thanks for that! Idiots are people who see a solution when really what is being spread is a policy of herd immunity, and economic importance, under the guise of genuine public health safety.

If you travel on public transport wear a face mask also enclosed public spaces if you want to. Outside spaces it's up to you, low chance of infection. It's not rocket science, perhaps they need to issue an idiots guide for the people who are unable to understand lol.

Pantglas2 but he still sounded definite. What is the English policy on face masks because I'm confused about that? Isn't it you should but we aren't going to make you and isn't that why public transportis such a problem?

He is very clear but he’s going against the other three on the face mask wearing in public and he refused to stop the Stereophonics concerts in Cardiff a week before lockdown. So not perfect ....just like t’others in fact!

Well the good news this morning is that London’s ‘R’ rate is now down at only 0.4 (NW 0.7 and Yorkshire 0.8) and scientists are hoping the trend continues so that in 2 weeks there will be NO new cases!

Fingers crossed as where London leads (heavily populated)the rest of the U.K. will follow.

Is it very odd that I have just watched the Welsh First Minister on TV and found his explanation of how Wales is handling lockdown and the exit strategy clear and easily understandable without any waffle? Could things be explained much more clearly or is it that the policy really isn't clear in England? Is it the message the messenger or both?

I think it depends on where you live.

I am not on the shielded list but prefer not to go to shops as we are both over 70 and OH is asthmatic.

I rarely used Tesco before for shopping, but have got a delivery every week. I have a nectar card for Sainsbury and JL and Waitrose card, but had no chance with them. Managed odd slot with Asda, but am very happy with the quality of food and delivery service from Tesco who have employed many more drivers in this area.

My main shopping used to be with M&S whose only contribution has been the shopping hour for the elderly (very busy) or some food boxes, which weren't any use to us. Not into Percy Pigs

Depends where you are Gabriella. I am on the shielding list and still find it impossible to get Tesco deliveries. I am lucky though and have no problem with Waitrose, Sainsbury and Ocado.
