Hi! Very cool today with rain to follow tonight! Definitely not going out on the tiles, especially as there are more and more solar panels appearing.
Megs those toilet rolls of yesteryear certainly left a lasting impression! My memory fails me as to what war-time rolls were like, apart from sheets of newspaper hanging on a piece of string! .shock
Talking of memory, I've just returned from a trip down a lane whilst doing some research on Dr. Who and came across a YouTube video (BBC) titled "Ranking every Doctor (Who) from WORST to BEST!" 14 of them! hmm
I was never a fan, but earlier progs. are always worth a look if only to see what styles applied in those days.
YouTube has been a lifesaver (as ever) during this eventful episode, mainly for the medicine called "laughter", but I've also been piloting Jumbos , landing and taking off from world-wide airports! Very exciting!
Our local fencing club has kept going because they respected the separation rule and no-one was game to come between them!
Jane for what it's worth, "The Oldie" has promised FREE access to their digital email versions for non-UK subscribers during the Corvid crisis; no mention of how long of course, but now apologising for delay because of it! I guess they're working from home; like that A380 pilot! grin
International Nurses' Day today, thanks to it being Florence Nightingale's birthday; 200th I think they said!
I thanked the group that looked after me recently expressing thanks for their excellent work, especially during this stressful time for them.
I'm not checking Google right now because as sure as eggs are eggs this post will have vanished when I return.
As we say, lightning never strikes the same place twice!, but this is Gransnet! Fingers crossed. hmm
Good Health wine wine wine

Good evening Rufus2. Beginning to feel a bit like daylight is dawning slowly here. DH has gone back to work. He works on his own in an industrial unit so won't be seeing anyone. I put petrol in the car and went to M&S and Boots. I felt very intrepid.
The Oldie arrived safely through the letterbox last week. Am still waiting for the mag I had my story in.
Interesting about the fencing. DH is president of our local fencing club. I've often felt like taking an épée out on our walks to ensure social distancing. Fencing masks won't do as face coverings for some reasons - the holes maybe?! Might give people a fright if we started wearing them though- enough to ensure they'd keep their distance.
