Since tomorrow never comes, this promises to be a discussion without an end. How very Gransnet!

If we were to ban the word "tomorrow" it would mean that you'd have a very complicated, wordy replacement. For example, you're leaving work and instead if saying to your colleagues "See you tomorrow "; you'd have to say something like "See you the day after this day", which is just bizarre!

I'm not understanding this at all? confused

Do you mean that it depends on when you read it as to what 'tomorrow' means?

I know what you mean, if so - it's a bit like a sign on a door saying 'Back in 30 minutes'. Unless you know when it was put there, there is no way of knowing if someone will be back in 2 minutes or 29. (You could just check the date of the report on the News Channel, though grin )

Do you mean that the channel stops live broadcasting before midnight, puts up a screenshot referring to tomorrow, and leaves it there after midnight, even though tomorrow has arrived? Very irritating, I would agree, for News Channel addicts, but strictly accurate on the basis that it refers to the next tomorrow.

Do you mean it’s in capitals for emphasis, as if we’re all stupid?
