My OH has noticed my longer hair and says he likes it. I may not rush back to my hairdresser after all.

I wouldn’t be rushing to change it, BlueBelle, it obviously suits you. Just bask in the admiration. smile

Daddima grin thanks

I need to find the hair clippers quickly!

Mine's going through the awkward phase, Bluebelle. I did think it was a chance to grow from short and choppy to a bob.
Perhaps it doesn't grow as quickly as yours because there is nothing lovely about it.

I am liking my hair, for ages I have wanted to grow my fringe out but always give in and have it cut. It is now past being fringe length and I really like it.

Alima, I let my OH loose with the clippers too. After sulking for a while because he said he hadn't cut my fringe that was just above my eyebrows before the massacre and was now about 1/4" long, I had to agree with him that 1) he wasn't a hairdresser and 2) it looked and felt much better than the grey frizz he had cut off. Bless him grin

I keep cutting bits off mine Daddima but the scales say the same ... ?

Daddima Thu 28-May-20 16:31:38

I quite like having a wee bit extra hair. It’s unfortunate that it’s so heavy, as my scales show it weighs nearly a stone.

A new style can be uplifting a real boost to your mood and wellbeing - enjoy the compliments BlueBelle , you are clearly looking good lady?

Alima Thu 28-May-20 15:47:06

I have mine in what sounds a similar style to yours BB, probably for the same length of time. It is what you prefer that matters. Can you cope with longer hair, does it feel comfortable, especially around your neck where long hair gets very hot. Be an ideal time to find out. (DH has run over mine with the hair clippers during lockdown so keeping mine relatively short).

I would carry on. Maybe it looks fuller or maybe it just looks different to usual. A compliment is always a boost and seldom a lie.

Grow it out.
Get some lovely headbands, clips, and other fripperies, and swish it around when you walk, smile

For the last thirty odd years I ve had a short choppy, a bit spiky hair cut (similar to what used to be called a pixie cut ) having it cut every 5 weeks I was dreading this ‘no hairdressers period’ I m now 11 weeks from my last hair cut and I keep getting complimented on how lovely my hair looks
Well that’s thrown me completely
Do I carry on or clamber for a cut when we re allowed
