Recently,it was being denied that London demos were "Riots", but after yesterday it seems that certain sections of society have reverted to type., whereas demos. in OZ yesterday showed how it can be done without attacking police and all that goes with riots!
Our Aborigines have their grievances and I'm sure they will now be given far more attention albeit in a vigorous but non-violent manner!
We don't seem to receive any news about how Scotland, Wales and Ireland are reacting to the English riots, or maybe I'm not looking in the right places.
Our "Queen's Birthday" holiday is proceeding in a calm manner of course, thanks to Covid and the weather; overcast, no rain and 5C to 16C max.
Megs Keep those sticks moving, but watch out for that "white fizz" in case you trip over them!
What's that, as if I can't guess and what's it a "change" from?
The credits for the "Shakespeare" TV prog. last evening showed a very long list of production participants, very surprising considering it seemed to be a fairly lightweight show. But most enjoyable for all that!
In complete contrast, we had a railway prog. this evening (whilst I was having my dinner!) featuring Chris Tarrant, about"Hitler's Railways" and the use of railways to transport Jews to death camps!! We've all seen similar footage several times before and it's essential that we should never be allowed to forget what happened. Even now, I find it hard to watch!
Various rugby matches started up again yesterday and already referees are under the hammer for faulty decisions, causing apoplexy amongst commentators. You'd think they'd allow the refs some slack after their long lay-off, but regardless, I guess everyone's happy again! Forgot to check on whether spectator numbers are limited.
Busy week ahead, renewing acquaintance with the medical fraternity;
Audiology on Wednesday; probably no need for fresh underwear for that, but a check-up by my Cardio on Friday might be something else; never know what she might think of testing!
Nearly finished compiling that list of jokes for the Council's anti-Covid newsletter; hence my current "Jokes" thread. Be interesting to see how some of GreatNan's will be received
Aussie Grannies are a pretty robust lot!
11.00pm so might make it an early night!
Good Health Everyone!
