I am writing a story for the GC and I need a long list of words beginning with F. The list so far is frazzled, frightened, fearful, so any more along the same lines would be great. They do Not have to be English, or real words, just words that sum up a state of fear.

The heroine of my story Is s ‘righter of wrongs’ and is designing a website to advertise her business if that helps.
Thanks.

Footling and faffing, and a childhood word to describe a long pole that is used to open windows, bring down items that are out of reach : Piffle Snonker.

If you don't have enough after all the magnificent suggestions here, you might google "synonyms and antonyms" for some more help.

You can Google for adjectives or verbs beginning with F - or any letter of the alphabet. There are lists available!

Here's a couple of Cumbrian dialect words

'Fratch' it means to bicker, squabble, when kids fight we say they are Fratching.

'Frae' - where you Frae? Where are you from.

'Fyass' - yes it means face grin

'Fettle' - often heard 'How's 'T Fettle' meaning how are you.

'Fistle' - to fidget

On that note Tarra Marra!

Thank you everyone for contributing to my story. It has now gone to the GCs. The whole family is helping them with their literacy by taking it in turns to start a story and they have to finish it.

They are all so sad about missing school. No amount of home schooling can make up the friendship and group learning at school.

These are brilliant thank you. How about this, the story contains several hybrid animals, for example a Cowganroo and then Octomouse. So judging by your help so far I can pass this little task over to you. I will give you all credits and share the royalties
