A bit late this evening; burning some more CDs and there's always a hiccup whenever I think it's burning away whilst I"m doing something else and "Kaput"! Back to square one! hmm
Happy Birthday AGAA Have your restaurants opened up in time and not just for take-away! Perhaps a 3-course dinner and all the trimmings, especially if it's one of the big 'O's. smile
I went "to town" for dinner to-night, "Beef Ragu Pappardelle!, straight from the supermarket's deep freeze to my table via my microwave! Delicious! No candles, but no washing-up either! grin
Megs saw your discussion on "shielding" elsewhere and it seems as though it's not very popular How is it controlled and who does the controlling, apart from self?
Good Luck anyway!
We are almost free of Covid cases, but the experts keep repeating "it's still out there!" sad
Some people are going to be nervous wrecks after their next bus trip to the supermarket!
Never mind, one day we can all look back on this and laugh!.. Not!?
Off to see how the burning's going. Fingers crossed!

I enjoyed the cartoon in 'The Oldie' where a pregnant lady has a scan and the baby is in the womb already wearing a face mask.

Thank you Rufus. No restaurant meal for me. My chef is the microwave too.

Your posts are always uplifting especially if I've been on a political thread!

Hello Rufus, shielding seems to mean different things to different people, we’ve tried to follow the ‘rules’ because my other half is top ofthe vulnerablelist. Now apparently he can go out once a day so long as no shops or visiting or having anyone in the house. I think using your own discretion seems the answer.
Good that you are nearly free of the Bug,let’s hope we will be soon.
Cheers ??????

Rufus, this explains the clinical definition of shielding.
Basically it is applicable to the most clinically vulnerable patients, who will likely die if they contract Covid 19.

www.gov.scot/publications/covid-shielding/pages/highest-risk-classification/

Each of the four nations nation has it's own dedicated information Government web page.
They are very similar, but the timescales are different for each country.

Despite the advice being very specific, some patients put their own spin on things.

I hopes this clarifies things for you.
