Loneliness in retirement (and lockdown) in Harpenden

Hi

Is there anyone in the Harpenden area who would like to meet up for a coffee - socially distanced of course.

I've recently been made redundant and having worked for so long, don't seem to have had the time to make friends - something I'd like to rectify!

Yesterday I went over to Harkers in Slip End and had a coffee outside which was so nice to be able to get out for an hour.

I'd love to hear from like minded Grans.

Good idea Tuney. With so many of our indoor interests closed for now it is difficult to meet for coffee and a chat. I have realised my social circle is very small. We used to have Local pages on here but is it no longer available. Maybe someone can advise.

Dear Tuney.

I am sure there are people in your area who would like to meet. We are a bit far away in East London but we will be planning a meetup in a park shortly. Did you buy your coffee and sit outside?
