Just ordered 43 photos

Here is the photo album for those who didn't see the thread last night. My uncle bought me it. X

In this digital age photos are becoming rarer so it’s good that you are making the effort to preserve family photos in such a lovely album too. We are currently trying to bring some order to the photos we have acquired over our 77 years of life. DH has a lovely photo of his maternal grandmother’s wedding but sadly despite trying he is unable to identify at least three people on it. Since then we have put names and dates on the back of as many photos as possible.

Hi Flying Handbag, yes he did ask his Aunt who gave him the photo but she couldn’t tell him who they were, she was the youngest child from the marriage and the only one still alive. He should have asked his grandmother when she was alive but he only became interested in family history years later. You illustrate the point that it is important to get as much information from family while you can. I have been more fortunate with my side as I have an older cousin on my mother’s side who has given me a lot information and a cousin on my father’s side who has done a lot of family history research so we have been able to help each other.
