Here we go again. Very frustrating when an almost complete message gets wiped. My fault, I should have been in Word. So must catch up, although not a lot of cheerful news other than City being back in the winner's circle already! grin

Grandmabatty Don't suppose you went in order to cheer on Stockport County!
Thought not!; they've never done much. Sorry annodomini! hmm
"Last of the Summer Wine" is that the one with David Jason before he became Dellboy? He was Inspector Frost recently here for some time although he has a long way to go to beat "Midsomer Murders! We even get 2 TV channels showing it, one with John Nettles and the other with Neil Dudgeon in the same week.!

Megs Having that concentration of Red/Green in the family suggests an hereditary factor! Wouldn't it be a problem for anyone going for a driving licence?
We are shortly to have yet more colours for our waste disposal to make it even more eco-friendly; Red Yellow Green Purple, Black and something else. A different combination has to go out each week, so that will be fun, especially in the rain. There's a neighbour whose pretty good at this sort of thing, so I'll follow his lead!
My sharp eyes note that you are down to only 2 glasses!

Jane So you are off on a holiday "up North" Posh no doubt! A crowded train trip to London would be a nervous exercise for some time to come, even in the "new normal" Pity you had to miss "The Oldie" lunch because of Corvid, but imagine what it would have been like locked down at the Ritz! Enjoy the grouse and haggis, but not too much Scotch mist!

Although we are still heading for less onerous restrictions we are seeing a disturbing increase of "cases" again! Of course, the experts are closely watching the statistics following our recent demos; not riots!
Now to see if this will copy/paste to GN

Good Evening /Afternoon Rufus, having a nice day off today.
It's very sad news regarding Vera, she got to a good age and saw alot of changes though.

Yes Vera lived along life.
My two with red/green colour blindness have-no trouble with driving or traffic lights, they follow the sequence. However one could not work for BT because of wiring but now everything is computerised managed OK, They’ll never be fighter pilots ???
Sounds complicated with your bins,we’ve got4 different
colours but each week only two and we also follow the neighbours.
Take care , Cheers ??????

No, David Jason wasn't in Last of the Summer Wine. It would have been interesting if he had though! Peter sallis was the main actor laterally. He was the voice of Wallis in Wallis and gromit animations. Sorry to say, I'm neither a football nor cricket fan do definitely didn't go to Stockport for either. Today has been excellent. I visited mum (87) and had a doorstep chat with her. When I arrived home, my lovely handyman appeared ready to prune very overgrown leylandii. I hadn't expected him til some time next week. He's coming back to finish trimming trees tomorrow if it stays dry. I'm not hopeful as it's clouded over after a lovely day.
