Hi Rufus2, still no thunderstorm here yet, although the islands and Highlands have had some I believe. It is very warm for us 27°. It was very humid earlier but there's a gentle breeze at the moment. I've had a day of gentle pottering in the garden a la Miss Marple then a garden visit to good friends. Home now and I could iron but why? ? I can understand people's desire to go to the sea and get outside, particularly if they don't have a garden. However I have the fear of a second wave hitting before were even through the first one. A cold drink beckons. Bye

Hello Rufus it really is hot darn sarf. , the pictures of Bournemouth idiots amazes you doesn’t it, not only riskingCovid now, but melanoma as well in later life.My granddaughter tells me there was 8 tonnes of litter collected in one day and now looks like even more. You wonder what state theses morons live in.
Apparently storms expected soon So may cool down a bit. I used to love to sit and roast years ago, always went to Spain or somewhere hot on holiday but couldn’t do it now.
Bit worried we are going backward with relaxing the rules, hope you don’t get any more new cases tonight. Very worrying.
Cheers ????

What about Bournemouth flouting the rules? TV News showed crowded beaches, all because the temp. actually reached 30C! Not quite like Bondi beach, but similar idiots! They were probably not even shielding against UV radiation with 50+ "Slip, Slap' Slop! grin
Can't believe it's "far" too hot in Edinburgh, but I'll take your word for it! Equally, you won't believe it's "far" too cold and wet in Melbourne! sad
Before we left England I remember sitting on London underground trains looking at ads for OZ, " Land of Sun, Sea and Surf! I didn't twig they weren't referring to Melb,
But my darling Vera loved being "cool", which was the main thing!
"Oldie" has offered us free access to the digital version; "click on this link", but nothing happens! I'll give them a phone call to find out if I'm the problem; it's usually more productive than batting emails to and fro.

Grandmabatty Love a good electrical storm, although we don't get them anywhere as spectacular as Queensland and NT, nor do we get the necessary humidity./
The storms where the lightning streaks across under high cloud, usually at night, are awesome! Those are invariably dry and I sit on the back patio absolutely mesmerised.!
They used to refer to "canny" Scots and I expect nothing's changed, especially with advent of Covid 19. Our Govt. is having to back track on plans to relax some rules; even called in the Army Defence Force, but they don't know what for, other than do form filling!
Our Covid "hot spots" are being targetted by teams of medics doing doorstep visits to check on whose been tested!
A further increase in the number of new cases overnight, so some people are understandably nervous! sad

Seems like you're fully occupied looking after both ends of the family "spectrum!" wink Enjoy another long cool drink; you've earned it! hmm

Friday again! Good Health wine wine wine
