Please don’t jump down my throat, I am making an observation, not criticising but does anyone else think Wilfred is very long/tall for an 11 week old?
In yesterday’s photograph he looks almost ready for standing.

Same old, same old.

Variations on a theme.

Where's Meghan Markle when you need her?

The 'outraged brigade' must be getting out of practice. grin

Hi Gransnet friends
I’m thinking of changing from a coffee pod machine to a Barrister machine just wondered if anyone else had changed and witch they preferred can’t make my mind up thought you lovely people would be able to help me

I’ll be looking out for your thread, Florry, as we’re considering the same move. smile

Maggiemaybe Sun 19-Jul-20 15:16:44

Wow, he does look long. DGS5 is 4 weeks older and nowhere near that size, even though his dad’s 6’ 3”. I have to say that our baby’s got thicker hair though. smile

There’s a huge variation in the size of all my DGS. I did once comment to DH that if they’re ever called upon in future to be our pallbearers, we’re going to be heading down that aisle at a rare old slope.

No, don't take the point annsixty*!

This is a thread in chat and surely there should be some areas of GN free from viciousness and venom?

It might be better to start a new thread, Florry, as this one is about a baby

I am the OP of this thread and it is posters like SW who make me hesitate about starting new threads.
Let’s keep it it on point please.

Yes, a pity for posters to be so vicious on a thread about a child because they dislike the father.
But par for the course.

annsixty I haven't seen my DGS for months sad but he was a very long baby and I expect is towering over me now he's 12.

Peardrop50 Sun 19-Jul-20 15:10:18

Kittylester lovely grandchildren, the little one is certainly tall for his age, lucky boy.

EllanVannin

It's possibly the fact that he appears to have a good head of hair for the age of him that makes him seem older. We're used to seeing babies of just under 3 months old with very little or no hair. He's long because his mum is too.

I just had a peek at the photo - he is long but his hair isn't exceptionally long or thick.

Callistemon Sun 19-Jul-20 15:00:16

One of my DD had long hair and my DGD had such a lot of thick hair she had to have a haircut at 8 months old.
DGS was always very long, like a 3 month old at birth, now very tall but he didn't have much hair until he was about 18 months.

Ilovecheese

Wasn't Britain at war for half of the 1940s EllanVannin hardly idyllic!

And for the other half of the forties, and most of the fifties, serious food and housing shortages. And the cold war always in the background, as well as other hot wars, May have been idyllic to children then, not very much for many of the adults.

Oh, those rose coloured spects.,

Jabberwok Sun 19-Jul-20 14:45:28

Of course we can all disagree, but ridicule and name calling? surely we don't have to resort to that on a chat thread?!

Peardrop50 Sun 19-Jul-20 14:33:12

Wilfred certainly has a wonderful head of hair, let's hope it's more manageable than his Daddy has.

maddyone Sun 19-Jul-20 14:28:37

It’s certainly true that Wilfred has the Johnson hair. I’ve no idea if he’s cute or not because I can only see his hair and that he looks long for his age. Carrie is obviously besotted and that’s how it should be. I wish him, and all other babies, a long and happy life, particularly those born during this awful pandemic, as Wilfred was.

Jabberwok Sun 19-Jul-20 14:26:40

I agree annsixty The only conversations on offer seem to be ones full of animosity which have frankly become very tedious! Avoiding the News and Politics thread should enable less cconfrontational and more chatty conversation, but no, the venom always seems to follow, sadly.

Sorry ann but I am free to comment on this- Johnson put the photo in the public arena for totally self serving reasons and I’m not going to ignore it if it’s brought up. . and the results of his sexual incontinence is not a neutral subject. There are plenty of things we can and do have neutral threads about - Johnson’s baby is not one of them

annsixty Sun 19-Jul-20 14:10:52

I do keep thinking of new topics to introduce because quite frankly I am finding GN rather boring at the moment.

What a horrible post sw, full of hatred and vitriol. I feel quite sorry for you.

suziewoozie Sun 19-Jul-20 14:01:13

Wilfred will want for nothing except a fathers love, care and good example. Poor child .

suziewoozie Sun 19-Jul-20 14:00:09

We don’t even know what number baby he is. Johnson has never been and never will be a good father. All he does is impregnate and rapidly move onto the next affair. Why the photo of them - he’s the PM. And you’ve no idea if the baby is cute of not fgs - all you can see is the back of his head. Honestly what slathering sycophants you Johnson idolaters are.

Jabberwok Sun 19-Jul-20 13:46:15

Oh, I don't know, I'd say 50/50. I guess Wilfred will be ok, after all, 'his Daddy is rich and his Ma is good looking' to quote Porgy and Bess! However, the world is in a perilous state so heaven only knows what it will be like when Wilfred is our age!!!!!
