Update on wardrobe.

Hi all,
As some of you may remember, I had a fall a few days ago and damaged my wardrobe rail.
I was inspecting the damage this evening when I discovered that it was a case of slotting the rail back in. I also discovered a hidden rail attached behind what I thought was the back rail.
I removed all the clothes from the bottom of the wardrobe and fixed the rail then I turned the bigger rail around and placed it on another wall with the hidden rail in front (the wardrobe is essentially built onto a wall without having a back and goes onto a second wall but doesn't turn the corner if that makes sense. I put the big rail on the second wall.)
I also put some old drawers in the wardrobe to put some toiletries in.
As I thought there was only two rails I had all my clothes jammed onto two but now I have decided to use each rail for a certain type of clothes: the broken one is for pyjamas, the one that was hidden is for everyday clothes, and the higher up one that the formerly hidden one is attached to is for occasion wear. I now have to put all the clothes back as I was organising the wardrobe.
Hope you're all well,
FlyingHandbag. X

Who puts pyjamas on a rail?

lemongrove Thu 23-Jul-20 23:19:51

So many rails, and walls and corners, it’s like a Secret Seven book, where they discover a hidden panel that leads to a tunnel that leads to a cavern that leads to a door.....etc.
Only there is no treasure at the end for you FlyingH just some hanging pjs.☹️

It's a hanging rail for clothes... where do you keep your pyjamas? X

Another use for the pretty notebook, alongside its use as an accident book,

My pjs are folded Marie Kondo style in a drawer. It would be a faff to hang them up.

Isn’t it one of the seven wonders of the world ? The hanging pyjamas of Babylon?

Marydoll Fri 24-Jul-20 07:36:57

Lucca, very witty! ?

I don't even told mine, too much of a faff. I sort of roll them up and stuff behind my pillow! ?

Marydoll Fri 24-Jul-20 07:37:34

fold !!!

Nortsat Fri 24-Jul-20 07:59:12

I was wondering if you saw a lamp post in the back of your wardrobe FH to light your way to Narnia ...(only kidding).

Well done on sorting out your wardrobe.
Our wardrobe looks like an Oxfam shop.

Hi Flyinghandbag I'm surprised you didn't find a Lion or a Witch in your wardrobe. Pleased to hear you solved the problem by yourself. Is your ankle OK now. Do you hang your pyjamas in the same way as a trouser suit. Mine live on the floor to ceiling shelves in my wardrobe. Have a good day. Hugs. ???????????️

Hi! Yes, I hang them like I would anything else. My ankle feels much better thanks, although still a bit sore if I don't walk slowly. Big hugs. X

I’m pleased your ankle is better.
Sprains can take a while so you are doing well.

Have you decided on the shoes for your forthcoming event?

I guess you will have to pick comfort over style!

The event isn't for a few months, and style is a priority for this particular event. X
