I did see him live at a venue in Bath a few years ago,
the venue was something similar to the Cavern and by hell was it hot.

Man of the World and the wonderful Albatross such a haunting instrumental, transports me right back in a flash to platform shoes and flared trousers and the scent of oil of patchouli that went with those sounds. Fleetwood Mac were one of the greats of that era.

RIP Peter Green.

Awh, that's sad, loved Fleetwood Mac.

I'd willingly have given him one of my flags too MerylStreep! A nice memory to have of 2 fantastic musicians.

I'm with you notagran I loved Man of the World and Albatross. I know he had many health issues over the years but he died too young. Early 70s.

My OHs claim to fame is that Peter Green asked him for a fag in one of our local pubs. Then they walked to the Cliffs Pavilion ( Southend) where they were playing.
That was in 1968. He met Jimi Hendrix in the same pub before Jimi was a big name.

That is sad. Mr. S. is a huge fan and made one of me too.

Oh that is sad. I always preferred the original Fleetwood Mac with Peter to the later band. I must have played my copy of the Fleetwood Mac LP, (the one with the dustbin and the dog on the cover!) a million times back in the 60s/ 70s.

I saw Peter on stage about 20 years with the Splinter Group and it was a great night out.

Yes I noticed that earlier. So sad.

I've just seen on the news that Peter Green from Fleetwood Mac has died today. I've got so many memories linked to the music of Fleetwood Mac and their music is timeless and ageless. I only have to hear the opening bars to Everywhere and I'm back to 1987. RIP Peter.
