Glad to hear all went well Soop.
Hope Ludo is ok Grandmafrench.

(1001 Posts)Here we are again
Happy as can be,
All good friends and jolly good company.
A hearty welcome.
and plenty of virtual HUGS.
Hellogirl1 You are better informed than we two. Just two log cabins. They do look rather smart. A few caravans and tents on the site.
I am logging off until tomorrow. Will catch up with you sometime after the blood letting.

I hope your little frog will be OK Soop, bless him. I`ve been informed that after Muasdale was sold a few years back, the previous owners didn`t get paid in full, so Alison and Adrian took back ownership, selling again to the people who have those log cabins not far from Tarbert at West Loch. I hope they haven`t modernised Muasdale too much, or it will lose some of it`s charm.
Synonymous, you`re right there about little mice and their bladders, I`ve had my hand wee`ed on several times whilst rescuing the cute little beggars!
This morning, MacSporran noticed that the plastic water container that we put out for the birds, had attracted a wee creature (a frog) who was unable to scale the sides. He went out and placed a large stone in the container. The frog appeared not to wish to use it. MacS gently removed the little frog and placed him in a safe location.
A small Munro of ironing awaits. I shall return.
Lins Yes, thank you for the reassurance, Lins. I have had fourteen operations under a full anaesthetic and countless procedures without. I am very familiar with hospitals and have always been treated with the utmost kindness. Aren't we so lucky to have the NHS?
Toby's middle name; Marinus, means 'man of the sea'. I like both names.
Nanntytopsy Long live sausages! I love a sausage sandwich.
Maw during rootling sessions the tune that goes through my head is 'The only way is up...' When I was fit (ahem) I used to exercise to the tape. Cannot think who sang it now. Any offers?
Thank you all for making me smile. A big group (((hug))) is, I believe, most appropriate.
Grannyfrench Best wishes are winging their way to our lovely Ludo. I could woofle a Magnum right this minute.
Synonymous Thank you for the tip. Only problem is...I shall need to wee that often, I may not have time to have bloods taken.
Hellogirl1 We said hello to David. A few changes have been made at Muasdale camping site., including two super log cabins. I wonder whether or not they contain showers or loos. Very smart.
Hellogirl I have to admit that mices are very cute but that is only until you get to considering their weak bladders and that they widdle everywhere continuously!
I don't think Smokie is sufficiently interested in being a rodent officer so Himself will have to keep his crutches handy and I will keep using the 'helping hand' .
So glad that all went well today soop and the 6 week (max) wait will be by before you know it. Make sure you are very well hydrated before the blood test tomorrow, I need to drink at least a couple of pints - of water grans! Really!!
Although thinking about it I do keep a supply in of 'Old Peculiar' for Himself. It is a relaxant which works very well!
Hope little Ludo gets on ok at the vets Grandmafrench???
We had to write a cheque for the plumber the other day Charley, the last cheque before that was written last year!
Pleased to hear you are back safe and sound soop> As others have said, time will fly.
My washing is flapping in the breeze and the sun is shining. It is not the warmest day of the year but it is pleasant.
This appears to be another week where yet again I am instead of handing out money- writing cheques which I rarely do.
TOYA
Yay! Cherry, so pleased for you. You must be so relieved!
So pleased for you soop, and can't help but agree since you have waited just this side of forever to get this sorted, a few extra weeks shouldn't be a problem ?
Slightly more of a problem is that you now have no blood!
. How d'you think that happened? Very remiss of you not to keep an eye on stuff but suppose you have been rather busy these last few months. Hope your GP finds the odd splash tomorrow, or - well - it'll be Tony Hancock and the Blood Donor all over again. Maybe you do just have an empty arm!
I shall not be around to interrogate you later - we are off to the Vet with little Ludo. Again, trying to valiantly sort out his skin problems, so more tests for him. But he's a brave little soldier and today we might get some clarification.
Relieved to know that no soops were harmed at the pre-Op discussions and you're back safely to fight another day. Take good care. See ya tomorrow? (She said in the hot sunshine whilst grappling with a Magnum ! Ha Ha! )
Glad you the assessment went well soop and hopefully the blood test will be more successful tomorrow.Six weeks will fly by.x
Ha! You lot are priceless I cannot feel anything other than optimistic with you by my side, so to speak.
Assessment went very well. Heart trace is perfect. Blood pressure ditto. BMI spot on. Just one blip...my veins refused to give a drop of blood. It's something that happens all the time. An appointment made with the GP to do the deed in the morning. Could be a wait of up to six weeks for surgery. No time at all, considering how long the problem has been a pain in the butt.
Have not been home long. Will do a few jobs and then, without a doubt, I shall return to catch up with all the latest happenings.
Also thinking of you today soop, and hope you get an appointment for The Big Day soon . ?
Thinking of you today soop
Mmmm! That’s funny Maw ? .....but only if you’re asleep now. People who do choral singing need their rest and I’m prepared to bet that Hattie isn’t much of an audience at 05.10am. ?
Good one Maw!
Take care - we'll form a Gran chorus and send you soothing melodies to take your mind off all that rummaging
Perhaps we could sing The Gran March from Aida?.
(I’ll get my coat, shall I?) ??? xxx
Lovely picture of your new great grandson Soop, and your gorgeous son(wish I was 30 years younger!!) All the best for tomorrow, although I`m probably far too late.
Susan, Henry looks to be "full of it"!
his I went to tea at my granddaughter`s new flat, she who lived with me until a few weeks ago. There were a few of us there, her mum(number 2 daughter) and stepdad, her brother with his fiancée and 2 littlies, Max and Grace, and her stepsister and little girl. We tried to keep distanced, but I think we failed a little bit. My granddaughter laid on a nice little buffet, but I still had to cook Lynne`s tea when I got home, albeit a bit later than usual.
Synonymous, my only worry about mice getting into the house is whether I can get to them before the cat does, I hate them to be harmed.
PS - Many congratulations to you both soop on the safe arrival of your great grandson. I like his name, it suits him doesn't it? He's a beautiful boy and Mila looks very much the big sister.
Very late, dear Kitcheners. Certainly here it is now 1st September - so pinch or punch to all of you! That month has come around very quickly even though, as GG points out, all those days have passed since lockdown - and here I can add another week to that number. At the beginning, I thought I'd go to pieces but amazingly, I've managed - most of us have managed, so well done us.
Well done, to you both, Synonymous you must feel a great sense of relief. Legal problems always manage to take over such a big part of your life, but you can now feel that it's behind you and start to move forward without any what-if's hanging over you. Plenty of time now to focus on little rodents and keeping them out of your home. Clearly your cat is not going to be of any help, so maybe changing your name to SynonymousE might help?
Beautiful photo of Toby and his Granddad and just look at that cheeky little scamp, Henry. I think he loves the camera and he always seems to be smiling. Hope the difficult days are becoming less, Susan and that you're pleased your DD's leave has been extended. You'll still get time with that little chap and she'll be home longer to see his health improve.
Warm wishes to Doodle, Tara's Mummy, Corner, Grandmabatty and Kitty. Hope your long weekend has been a happy one.
Will be thinking of you tomorrow, soop. I feel just a bit responsible pushing you to get some help but think that MacS must bear most responsibility as he was the one who buttonholed your GP about your problems! (Do hope he has now recovered from his recent garden incident...) Whatever you're feeling, though, it's finally going to have a good chance of being sorted. Hurrah!!!! Think of all the standing around ironing that will give you so much fun in future! Now there's something you'll be able to bear a grudge about!
Seriously, don't stress, you have a nice Surgeon and I know your confidence won't desert you. Take care - we'll form a Gran chorus and send you soothing melodies to take your mind off all that rummaging.
Good Tuesday to you. Looking forward to your news. x
Warm hugs from French France.
Here's wishing you all the best for tomorrow soop. I have had several operations and all were carried out within the six weeks following the pre assessment. I hope this reassures you.
I do hope that MacSporran is healing well, also Mr Doodle, Mr NannyTopsy, Mr Synonymous, Mr Panache.
Thinking of you annsixty and hope you have a date for your op soon. I am very out of touch due to buggerations here, but I am TOYA.
Good luck tomorrow soop !
I offered a substantial bribe to 3 family teenagers, as we need a ton of gravel moving from front of house to the back of the garden, including up a flight of steps. The plan was to get the paths ready, weeded and membrane down before they came. Now I hear they are coming tomorrow! Well we will cope!
I must go and search the freezer for sausages to feed them!
Hmm I see your point kitty. Let’s just hope the operation is a big success and leaves soop in a much more comfortable state. ?
Too late for you to see this today, my apologies soop. That’s me, too late for everything
. In any case good wishes winging your way for tomorrow. I’ll be surprised if the medical staff don’t anticipate you’ll be feeling a bit nervous, after all why wouldn’t you be? All will be well, I’ll be sure to check back tomorrow to see how your appointment went.
I'm not sure doodle's idea is a good one. Thinking of having the grans after you might have the surgeon shaking with fear!!
