After WWII, there was a terrible shortage of housing. My mother saw an estate agent with the names “Waite, Waite and Hope”.
And my doctor until very recently was on a street called the Butchery, so was The Butchery Surgery!

Somehow when I heard the name of the N.Ireland minister
several weeks ago a Mr. Edwin Poots I thought to myself
what a name. Obviously he did not go down to well and he resigned or was voted out yesterday.

There used to be a lovely kind hearted lady that worked for the R.S.P.C.A. she was called Mrs Pratt. (oh dear)

Apparently there is an Estate Agents called Doolittle and Dalley - remembering past experience with agents I think it is very apt!
