Rufus2 homemade lemon meringue pie sounds lovely. I made peanut butter cookies and chocolate chip cakes today and before I could put them away my daughter and grandson appeared so they had to try them of course. It's good your numbers are falling. We've had a couple of spikes here recently. Aberdeen, Dundee and Glasgow. Hopefully they'll get them under control. A quiet day for me tomorrow.

Good evening Rufus. I hope you are well. The WHO (not the pop group) said that pandemics tend to last for 2 years in their estimation so we are in it for a while yet.

I watched 'Last Tango in Halifax' and found the episode with the giraffe a bit strange.

Envious of the lemons. Have to go to Tesco for mine.

Hello Rufus 2, I also wonder about Covid becoming the ‘new’ flu once if ever vaccines are found.
Loved Last Tango, don’t suppose there will be another series, everyone getting too long in the tooth.
Interesting your granddaughter and her BMW, we always say these cars have no indicators!!!
Thanks for your kind words in GM today.
Cheers ??????

TV this evening was good! Part 2 of 2 about the Flying Scotsman followed by Last Tango in Halifax; the one with the giraffe mural painted on the barn wall. I’ll also be interested to learn how it was done.

Our Michelle (B’mouth) was lamenting over the phone last evening about her BMW (posh, or what?!) needing a new differential, costing an arm and a leg! More than my car is worth!
Covid new cases are down again slightly, but deaths still occurring.
Now today came news of Queensland experiencing an outbreak of new cases after several weeks of calm. All this news gives the impression we could be stuck with Covid on and off forever just like “ordinary” ‘flu or malaria! sad

Grandmabatty now you need another challenge seeing as how “platypus” proved too easy! I’ll have to find my dictionary of Aussie slang (expurgated edition, of course) and see how you deal with that!
Best wishes re ; your aches and pains; probably a result of pushing Grandson on swings! smile
Jan, a dear neighbour from across the road came for some of our lemons to create a lemon meringue pie, or something like that and promised me some in return! Not being a cook and on my own. I miss the home made luxuries. Supermarket frozen ones are OK I suppose, but as they say, “You don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone!”

Another Zoom meeting in the morning, meeting up with a group of charming ladies, talking mainly comp. stuff. not high tech, but demands concentration. hmm
