Hope you are all keeping well, bright and cheerful! Lovely day here today; not a cloud in the sky, 20C and felt even warmer out of the breeze, which helped to dry my sheets and drive the cobwebs away.
Pamela I take it from your “over here” you’re meaning The Old Dart! At the moment I’d say the chances of changing the quarantine rules to make them easier are about the same as becoming a Republic. We are about half way into a 6-week period of night curfew and Stage 4 restrictions. Jersey sounds a better bet, although maybe not at this time of year. The quarantine hotel prices you quote are a rip-off, reading about all the poor hotel conditions and “guards” sleeping on the job, coming out of our Royal Commission.
Jane Can’t see much in your pic, possibly Scotch mist, but the scene is bereft of flags on sticks which are usually bent over at 45 degrees. Did that storm rip them all out? Do you really have Haggis slice for breakfast? I was only joking! I’ll bet you’re really “full” for the rest of the day, especially if you’re not out there exercising your golf “slicing”! hmm
Megs Your grandson’s video must now give you wonderful moments to view again and something to treasure;
a bunch of cards, although nice to signify some one was thinking of us, tend to stay in the drawer like the other “significant” cards.
I think I de-ciphered your message meaning you haven’t received any diamonds yet! As they say, “diamonds are a girl’s best friend”; and you do have “diamond friends” on GN! smile

Down to earth with a bump having just realised I haven’t made my bed after stripping it for washing! And it’s nearly Sunday.! sad

Caught up with Part 3 of The Salisbury poisonings; it’s getting more confusing what with little sub-plots and not quite sure whether flash-backs are occurring at times.
Last Tango also becoming harder to follow and we haven’t learned how that giraffe got there. I must be losing my grip!
Although I heard a word on it which I haven’t met up with for ages, “mither,” as in “Stop mithering me"!

Good Health wine wine wine

Rufus2 we've seen some near misses on the Old Course. People just seem to walk dogs on it and generally use it as public path. One man nearly got his head bashed in by a ball.
We've walked miles around the town. It's a delightful place but seriously crowded. You'd never think there was a pandemic going on if it wasn't for all the masks.
Hotel breakfast was awful. Serves me right for looking forward to it. It really is a disappointing hotel yet its the 'hotel of the year'. Doesn't say much for other hotels.
Weather is good though. Well, my idea of good but maybe not yours.
Stay safe and cosy.
