A taxi passenger tapped the driver on the shoulder to ask him a question
The driver screamed, lost control of the car, nearly hit a bus, went up on the sidewalk, and stopped centimeters from a shop window.
For a second everything went quiet in the cab, then the driver said: "Look mate, don't ever do that again. You scared the daylights out of me!
The passenger apologized and said, "I didn't realize that a little tap would scare you so much."
The driver replied, "Sorry, it's not really your fault. Today is my first day as a cab driver - I've been driving a hearse for the last 25 years "

G’day Everyone; a little joke, which you’ve probably seen before, from a lady at our morning Zoom meeting. From the same stable as the Covid “rear testing” anecdote! Nothing like a smile to start the day, even if it is a Sunday! Very enjoyable morning, 12 lovely ladies and me! for 2 hours. We also talk high-tech of course and I’m impressed at the extent of their armouries of tech. equipment such as iPads, iPhones, lap-tops etc, held by these “elderly” ladies. I feel quite humble!. hmm

Finished watching Part 4 and last of “Salisbury Poisonings” this evening. Not bad, but a bit over-dramatic and “Soapy” at times, followed by “Last Tango...! which demands even greater concentration with so many sub-plots!

Covid stats edging back up again with more nursing home deaths. This could go on forever, because of fears of mental health and a miserable “quality” of life are becoming increasingly talked about
When our water supply company advised us to boil tap water after storm damage the other night, there was panic buying of bottled water. I ask you!
If the butcher put up a sign “Impending brain shortage”, he’d do a roaring trade with panic buying! grin

No1 Son in Brisbane tells me that some Victorians are entering Queensland via Darwin where they can hang about undergoing some quarantine and are then able to cross the border whereas the NSW border is closed!

Busy day tomorrow; It’s now 11.00 pm so early night beckons; it was 2.00am last night, but the owls didn’t keep me awake! confused
Good Health, wine wine wine

A busy time indeed Rufus2 your zoom group sounds excellent.
Scary Covid times it seems. It's the youngsters who are getting it now. Obviously, I've cut back a bit on my usual busy lifestyle of pubbing and clubbing. Just the drink and drugs at home now! Should be fine...
