Good morning from sunny Colchester. Got up at stupid o'clock to drop DS at the station and went back to bed.
Don't think we've got any weekend plans. I'll be cleaning DS's room. I may be some time ☺️

Good morning Mick and all

Bright blue sky here in S E Essex, hopefully temperature around 20-22 degrees so very pleasant. Nothing planned for today, I am avoiding looking at the ironing pile (keeping the laundry door shut). We had a lovely meal last night in our local Indian restaurant it was good to see it busy.
Pantglas I had several large white wines!

Thinking of Gillybob and other absent friends ??

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️

Good Morning Mick and everyone from a sunny S Hants. Washing of bedding today and front grass to be cut. DH playing golf later, local pub has a completion in three weeks, so all participants are quietly practicing! I’m making a beef stew in the slow cooker, although it’s sunny, there’ll be a chill later.
Have a peaceful day all.

Good Morning Mick and all from a Sunny Wells.

Well Marydoll and Norstat the shopping village was ? in my opinion. Lots of expensive clothes which I wouldn’t wear in a million years, admittedly reduced in price EG some dresses reduced from £240.00 to £24.00 which looked like dark coloured sacks. I ask directions to the One Hundred Star shop and the helpful girl said she had never heard of it ! I checked online later and it was shown to be there. I emailed the Centre’s contact address and it couldn’t be sent ?. However all was not lost there were some beautiful gardens attached to the centre where we took our take away sarnies. It was a total delight and ‘almost’ made up for my disappointment with the Centre itself. Finally I did buy my DS some rather nice pants for C*****

We are visiting the Bishop’s Palace today.

Hope Gilly is ok.

Good morning from a bright and sunny Essex by the sea. Hopefully a nice weekend weather wise.
A walk this morning to one of our favourite places with our flask of coffee and biscuits.
Sewing, reading and tv this afternoon.
A take away this evening I think.
I too hope Gilly is ok and anyone else going through tough times.
Have the best Saturday you can and stay safe xx

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s quite a bit cooler and greyish skies.
Yesterday we had sunshine and showers for our walk in the Cairngorms. We were going to walk round Loch Morlich but changed our mind and walked round Loch an Eilein instead, it was lovely with all the purple heather out in full bloom on the hillside and the sun reflecting on the water.
Enjoy your free coffee mick and your mystery trip pantglas wherever you end up!
And yes I’ll be having my flu jab whenever it’s offered grandmattie I think it’s so important especially this year ..
I too hope gilly is ok and she’s back on here soon.
Hope everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care whatever the day brings ?

I’m ok thanks Mick

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. It's very still after a blustery day yesterday.
Our grass is getting cut today if the rain stays off. It's been 3 weeks so very lush and green.
We live vicariously these days. I love hearing about other people's adventures but I shop in the local shop everyday and hardly go any further apart from a walk over the fields.
Hope you have a nice weekend and that those missing are alright.

As regards to the "Free Coffee" ,unsure how many other cafes in UK do it .
You are given a ticket with 9 bits on it each time you go for a drink not necessarily a coffee could be tea, the card of sorts is stamped ,and when you have had 8 your 9th drink is free .

I like the dropped rope look Gelisajames.

Good Morning all from Severnside and welcome to the new good morningers. It looks like it will be a beautiful day and smells fresh outside. I know this because I’ve just stuck my head out of the window and sniffed in the morning air.

Yes I will be taking up the offer of a flu jab Mattie. I used to have them years ago and had my second one in older age last year. I usually have them at my health practice but this year I’ve had an invitation from the pharmacy that I use. I might have it there this year.
I don’t think gilly has been in for a few mornings Pant.

I’ve a diy job to do today and I want to go and choose some loose spring flowering bulbs.

Enjoy your day everyone and hope you don’t have too many worries ?

Gelisajams Sat 05-Sept-20 07:03:13

Good morning from a breezy Morecambe Bay.
Not much planned for today. We did get the camper fixed yesterday. Those little machines which tell the mechanic what’s wrong are quite amazing. It was the oxygen sensor that had failed whatever that does, but it’s now fixed.
The other day we put the rope up round the edge of the garden. It’s there because it’s quite a drop. The builder put a fence because of building regs and the depth of the drop but as it was only 4 foot from the house The first thing we did was to take it down.
I’m concerned we haven’t heard from Gillybob Hoping she’s busy and that nothing else untoward has happened. Take care and stay safe everyone ?

Good morning Mick, from a dry and bright east London.

Pantglas I wondered if gillybob hadn’t posted for a day or so, I too hope all is well. Enjoy your mystery trip ...
Quiet day for us today, some housework and the on line grocery shop. Then a takeaway and a film this evening.

I hope GN is quiet today too, yesterday was quite unpleasant and it made me quite wary about posting.

Good wishes to Bluesapphire, Dragonfly and all who need them. Have a good day, all. ?

Pantglas2 Sat 05-Sept-20 06:29:35

Morning Mick and all who follow- the chamberpot is half empty already!

Didn’t see a post from Gillybob yesterday- is she ok ?does anyone know? So many Regulars missing at the moment but I know we’ve had lots of newbies as well - welcome Alegrias and t’others! And yes, Andalusia is special but I’m only here for another couple of weeks before returning to lovely Wales ???????

Off to a Boot Sale this morning to meet a friend for coffee and out on a mystery trip this evening- what’s the betting we end up on the coast where we stayed mid week - Torremolinos!?. I wouldn’t mind actually- another Chicken Biryani would go down a treat!

Enjoy your weekend folks ?

grandMattie Sat 05-Sept-20 06:24:55

Forgot to say that I have been invited to have my usual ‘flu jab at the end of the month. Anyone else? Do you accept? I take every vaccination offered...

grandMattie Sat 05-Sept-20 06:22:55

Good morning from clear E Kent. The full-ish moon is looking lovely before it sets.
Free coffee, Mick? Remind me how you get it?
Nothing on today.
DS1 is off to London today to see some school/uni friends. He has contacted the Indian High Commission for a visa. Not holding my breath, but understand his desire to work from his house on campus with his colleagues, etc.
Hope those with problems/difficulties have a day kind to them. Stay well everyone.

Good Morning Everyone,
Its looking at present like it could be a nice dry and sunny day here in Brackley this morning.
I will be going off on the bus routes to buckingham and bicester , have a free coffee at bicester and return to buckingham, hoping the dealer I normally have got items from on the flea market is there .
Then back home watch the tour on telly , interesting weekends racing in the pyrenes, then maybe a take away later .
Take care ,
Mick
