Good Morning Everyone ,
Its a dark, wet and windy start this morning with Storm Alex lurking about here in Brackley .
Today, my usual trip to Buckingham and Bicester , plans are to head back home, once I had a coffee and maybe a pork and stuffing bap , then a small shop ,and get bus back, then relax before I watch the Giro on Eurosport .
Take Care ,
Mick

Happy birthday beauregard, have a lovely dinner this evening and hoping your DH is well enough to enjoy it with you. ?

Good morning Mick, Annie and all, from a very wet and dull bit of Berks.
One of our GD's is getting married today, so Bellasnana, we could do with some of your sunshine please.
As we are not able to be there in person, we shall don our glad rags and raise a toast to them, from the comfort of our sofa.
I believe some sort of link up is planned, so fingers well and truly crossed that it all works .
Happy birthday Beauregard
Wishing Urmstongran's family, well and all the others who are unwell at the moment.
Especially remembering Gillybob and sending love and hugs to her and her family.
Have as good a day as you can one and all.

Oh what a night, as the song goes- but not like that!
Woken 4ish by the wind and the rain hammering the house and that was it for the next couple of hours- I just wanted to put my head under the duvet but I was still awake at 6 just hearing the rain lashing against the windows and fretting and beset by all the worst worries my stupid brain could muster.
So glad I made the decision not to drive down to London to see D and Flynn and Otis, I hate the M25 at the best of times but in this weather it would be a nightmare.
Oh I forgot to say Good morning!
Indian Summer? More like Monsoon!
Keep safe wherever you are. ☔️☔️☔️☔️?‍♀️????‍♂️ ?‍♂️?‍♀️??‍♂️

Good morning from a dark and rainy NE.
Another day of reading and TV watching but I am well used to it since I have been nowhere since February.
Expecting a parcel this morning, something I ordered for my sister's birthday, I used to buy her smart going out clothes, this year she has asked for comfy trousers smile

Good morning from a very wet Norfolk. Thank you to everyone who sent get well wishes to my husband yesterday. He is still in hospital and apparently still passing blood. Had a bladder scan yesterday which was clear. So it’s just a waiting game as usual! Thank goodness phones are now allowed in hospital wards. At least we can send messages to each other! Can visit for an hour a day at our hospital now but you have to make an appointment so will see what happens. Hope everyone has a good day albeit very wet I think!

NannyJan53 Sat 03-Oct-20 08:03:44

Good morning from a dark and drizzly Black Country, where it rained non stop yesterday.

No real plans for today, except for maybe packing away summer clothes and getting out the jumpers!

Sorry to hear of your DGS Scentia I hope he will be ok and it turns out to be just a cold.

Thinking too of Urmston as I know she is worrying about her family, I am hoping they will start to feel better soon.

Good morning from a grey but dry E Kent.
I’ve only just woken up after the best night in months if not years! Perhaps it’s a result of doing “nothing” yesterday, apart from 5 loads of washing, several meals etc.
I’m so sorry you had to cut your holiday short Scentia, if ever there was time we all needed time off... trust that the result is negative.
Doing nothing again today. Any ideas for dinner tonight?
Have the best day everyone, especially those feeling unwell, disconnected or unhappy. X

Good morning Mick and all from a cloudy S Welsh coast. So sorry to hear about your grandson Scentia and your family Urmston, they are young and will recover well I'm sure. Try not to worry, easier said than done I know.
Early start here, second puppy class at 9, then Mr L and I have our flu vaccines this afternoon, with a fruit and veg delivery in between. Will read the posts later. Thinking of all those with illness and worries.
Take care everyone.

Oldbutstilluseful Sat 03-Oct-20 07:29:15

Good morning from a very wet, dark N Hants. I hope that you get good news Scentia, but what a worry for you all.

I’m thinking of Urmstongran who will be so worried about her family after the late posting yesterday. I have everything crossed that they start to feel better soon. I’m sending a good luck rainbow for you xx

brook2704 Sat 03-Oct-20 07:24:07

A very Happy Birthday beauregard enjoy your special day! ????

Ashcombe Sat 03-Oct-20 07:22:38

Good morning, one and all, from our chilly part of France - only six degrees!

Yesterday, we had warm enough sunshine mid afternoon to sit outside. We completed our shopping, including my supplies to take home tomorrow evening.

It is sad to read of families possibly suffering from Covid- 19 , especially when it involves children. Thoughts with Scentia.

Happy weekend!

dragonfly46 Sat 03-Oct-20 07:22:07

Happy Birthday Beauregard

brook2704 Sat 03-Oct-20 07:21:31

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s still dark but lots of rain forecast for later. Yesterday was a lovely autumn day though and we enjoyed a longish walk along the beach at nearby Nairn and then stopped for a coffee and little treat at a farm shop on the way home - like always!
Enjoy your hot sunny day bellasnanna I’m just a wee bit envious .... and you being popped into your DGD pocket did make me smile!
Sorry to hear about your DGS scentia I hope he’s ok and everyone else is too. And the sofa- aghhhhh !
I hope everyone with worries and struggles is doing ok and the day is kind to everyone - take care all

Beechnut Sat 03-Oct-20 07:21:24

Happy Birthday Beauregard wishing you a lovely day ????

kittylester Sat 03-Oct-20 07:16:42

Good morning from a very wet bit of North Leicestershire.

I have an opticians appointment at 9 am - it seemed like a good idea at the time I made the appointment!

Another afternoon sitting on the stairs as that is my favourite vantage point for checking out potential new neighbours as they view the house next door.

Dh had a letter yesterday following his latest poo sticks test saying he needed further investigation. Heyho!!

scentia, I hope your DGS is ok and that the dog survives having eaten the sofa.

I'd also love to be in a pink pocket bella.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Beauregard Sat 03-Oct-20 07:14:29

Good morning from Derbyshire. A miserable day in store for most.

Today's my birthday, so I haven't got the bright sunny day I'd hoped for sad I don't have a great deal planned during the day and will be at home in case anyone decides to call in. This evening we've booked to go out to dinner at a local restaurant. I joined their mailing list and have been sent an email giving me a free dessert and a bottle of prosecco! wine so well worth going.

Mr B still feeling pain (hernia) so there's a good chance he'll decide not to go for the meal, but my DD is on standby to take his place so I won't miss out.

Thinking of all with worries and/or illness, especially Sark Urmstongran grandMattie dragonfly Jan16 and Scentia

Hope everyone has a good day flowers

NanKate Sat 03-Oct-20 07:11:43

Morning Mick and All.

It’s grey, wet and miserable here in South Bucks.

DS and DGSs are coming for the weekend, pity the weather isn’t better, they usually love playing on the field in front of the house. We’ve set up some games, a colouring competition with a small financial prize and after a belated Birthday Tea we are having indoor fireworks. We used to have them each X**s for our DS so it will be happy memories, having said that they are pretty pathetic but they will make us all laugh.

So glad Bella you can give your DGD such comfort with your regular chats.

Hugs and ?to all who feel wobbly.

dragonfly46 Sat 03-Oct-20 06:50:43

Good morning, it is still dark here in Leicestershire.
I am up early as I didn’t sleep to well.

I do hope your DGS tests negative Scentia.
I would love to have my granddaughter in my pocket Bellasnana!

Flu jabs today and maybe having a visit from a friends dog,
