Watched this last night. Heartbreaking. His brave wife, parents, lovely little family.

Awful disease. My sister in law died from what they decided was MND, but she never reached the worst stage, thankfully.

I was very annoyed when this was 'bumped' due to a covid announcement which could have been on the news and The One Show put on BBC2 in its place.
I googled it and it's on tonight (Tuesday) so I'll definitely watch it. I will find it very upsetting as I lost my DH to this wretched disease. I hope a cure will be found in my lifetime.

I can hardly bear to think about it sparkling which is why I couldn't watch the tv programme.

Kittylester. Thank you for posting that clip of Sam. What a fantastic man he is, it made me cry at the unfairness of it all and it was hard to watch, but I'm glad I did. How does Sam want donations made as know he has set up a fund, but no details were given.

Devastating for everyone concerned, but always feel so sorry for the mum and dad, heartbreaking to see your adult child so poorly, wishing it could be them instead of him.

Someone we have known as a family for 25 years as a friend of DD2 & DD3, a fellow football fan and then as part of their crowd, was diagnosed about 18 months ago at the age of 38.

He was a triathlete, tall, good looking good fun and recently married.

He and he wife have set up a charity and are receiving amazing support from their friends and family, his ex work colleagues - events are organised, merchandise sold and awareness is raised.

I really cant watch the Rob Burrows programme as it is hard enough watching the lovely Sam.

It is a dreadful disease.

I've followed this heartbreaking family courtesy of the sports presenter and each time I've been so upset at this cruel and worst disease of mankind.
What a lovely young man with such a positive attitude it would put many to shame. He is remarkable. God bless him.

Tuesday 7pm? My poor brother was diagnosed at the age of 67 - lived for 4 years after that. It was hard watching a strong, handsome 6 footer , deteriorate. It's a cruel disease ?

What a terrible blow for this young couple, it is indeed a dreadful disease Grannynannywanny I think they are very brave to raise awareness in this way.

A diagnosis of MND must be devastating for all concerned. Thank you for the reminder about this documentary.
