I love them so much I actually have 3 of them. DH asked what I'd like for Christmas and I said I'd maybe like one in navy. He then tells me he actually doesn't like my big pom pom wooly hats and said they are made for people in their teens. What do you think?

My friend knitted me a cloche style hat but I looked like the Queen Mother in it.
I prefer this, mine has corks all round it.

I've never found a hat that really suits me so I usually rely on a hood. However on a city break in Edinburgh my ears were getting so cold I bought a mustard yellow pompom hat in Primark, intending to throw it out when I got home. Actually I thought it looked quite good so decided to keep it and wear it more often.
Must go and find it!

I have a teddy bear hat with 2 little poms poms for ears. I love it - I have matching mittens too.
My hubby hates it and says" you're not going out in that daft hat are you?"
Yes I am

I’ve wear one, it has a huge fluffy Pom Pom which is detachable so that it never has to be washed and it stays huge and fluffy, I love it.

I don’t want the hat, but a cute fluffy detachable pom pom sounds nice, a bit like a pet.?

Personally I think that you can’t beat a balaclava for keeping your neck and ears warm! I suppose you could jazz it up with a pom-pom! ?!

Each to their own. I don't like hats at all - stems from being forced to wear a 'pixie' hood when young.

I did buy one but found the weight of the pom pom awful. Unless it fits like a skull crusher apparently the pom pom just drags the hat backwards so I have since been told.

Anyone wearing one sends a message to me saying. 'Look at me, I'm special'- and they're right - they have the confidence to wear something that could look silly, but somehow doesn't, on them.
On me it would look ludicrous!

Whatever you like. I havve a hat with a large pompom - not "fur" its a "woolly" one and I find that is it noticeable.

I think those are sharp looking! Wear what you want. They are sold by many stores for people of any age!

Well I have a purple adult pom pom hat that I wore when I went skiing, though I wore it when I wasn't skiing too.

The best thing about getting to this age is feeling free to wear and do whatever you like without caring what anyone else thinks. You go for it with the pom pom hats; have one in every colour and a rainbow one for good measure. If your husband doesn't want to buy you them, treat yourself!

I love my woolly hats with pom poms (Only one on each hat!) always good for keeping the ears warm when I go for my daily walk. Haven’t succumbed yet this year, but the hats are ready as soon as it’s a little colder - but def not good for rainy days like today! ☔️?

Daftbag1 Sun 25-Oct-20 11:55:30

I wear bobble hats and the hats that cover your ears and have dangle bits with pop poms. I actually don't care what anyone else things they keep me warm!

I am 62 and have a hat with large pom pom. I wear it when I take my dog out for a walk. If DH said he didnt like it I would just buy a few more to annoy him !!

Juicylucy Sun 25-Oct-20 11:36:44

My teenage gd wears them and her friends but hey so do I.

grannie7 Sun 25-Oct-20 11:23:37

Mine is just wool perhaps it doesn’t count as a bobble hat
I am very inexperienced with hats lol

choughdancer Sun 25-Oct-20 11:21:32

Just a caution for anyone wanting to make sure fur isn't used. As the article says you can't go by price as the horrendous conditions in Chinese fur farms can make real fur cheaper than fake. www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-38302019

Love mine. Sainsbury's. So cosy.

grannie7 Sun 25-Oct-20 11:09:28

You all have me worried now I have just bought my first
bobble hat in navy from M&S.
Thought it might keep me warm in the winter except
I probably won’t be going anywhere now lol
Should I keep it or get my DD to take it back ?

nipsmum Sun 25-Oct-20 11:04:51

I would love to be able to wear them but I just can't wear hats at all. They all look ridiculous on me .

Kim19 Sun 25-Oct-20 10:55:58

Seldom go outdoors without a hat or cap. Multitude of styles, colours and textures which I try to match with outfit. Have never thought about 'not having a face' for one. Maybe I haven't!!! Don't have any pom-poms but find them easy on the eye irrespective of wearer and they are always attached to some form of cosiness which is endearing in itself. Let's all just wear whatever we fancy and feel good in for whatever reason.

I bought one ; I put it on; I looked in the mirror, I gave it to my 14 yr old granddaughter _ ‘ nuff said!!!!!?‍♀️
