Good luck.

Here we are again. As happy as we can be (in the circumstances). All good pals and jolly good company.
Cheers!
and whatever else that you fancy, providing it's legal.
Good luck.
Good evening kitcheners. Lovely photo of the sunset, Soop. I expect that gorgeous cat is away catching mice. I'm sure he will return as he knows where he's looked after. Susan56 I know how you feel and I hope you had a better day. My mother is very difficult too. I've been babysitting today hence the late posting. We splashed in puddles, walked to the swings then home. Lots of building brick towers and reading books. I'm tired now so a wee seat before tea. Enjoy your evening.
Oh I’m way too early , apologies soop (but better than too late).
I bet you are counting the days off on your calendar and it can’t come soon enough. You deserve a trouble free bot and you will get it ?
We had a zoom call with DH’s family today and I’m so thankful these phone and zoom calls help us to feel connected to loved ones. I hope your son has had a Happy Birthday.
Robbie will be back - why wouldn’t he when he has such a warm welcome?
And Good evening to all Kitchen friends. ☺️
dragonfly hoping your radiotherapy went well.
I imagine that you lovely lot are doing busy stuff today. I trust that you are well and hope to catch up with you tomorrow.
Still no visit from Robbie.
Phone call from middle son. He's fifty seven going on thirty years younger. A joy!
Bye for now.

No pussy cat visit thus far today. I check the garden for signs of a visit every thirty minutes or so. Cats!!!
Was watching tennis. Not exciting. Rafa plays tomorrow. His match will have that certain sparkle.
Dear Puzzler, I go into hospital a week on Wednesday. On Monday I have the Covid test. So, not too long to wait. Matters in the drop bot area are getting to the point where I will accept the slightest improvement. Hoping for more...time will tell.
Hi everyone. Is it too early soop to wish you all the very best wishes wrapped up with love for tomorrow (and hope I’ve got the day right?)
Nannytopsy I have seen a few posts from Baggs on other forums. On occasions, when she's been baking, she pops into the kitchen with warm from the oven flapjacks.
Is Baggs still on GN? I used to enjoy her tales of Minibaggs.
Two parcels arrived this morning from dear Hellogirl1. They contained D.C.I Daley thrillers written by a Kintyre author - Denzil Meyrick. How thoughtful and kind and very many thank yous.
Also, a beautiful card from Baggs. I am blest and very appreciative.
Evening all. Hope everyone had a good day. Sleep well
TOYA?
dragonfly I also send you all good wishes for your next course of treatment.
GrannyGravy I had no idea that yet another feline was about to visit and make himself look very much at home. He sits on the door mat and stares at me as I peer through the window. He seems to think that, when the little old lady sees my beautiful wide-eyed expression - she'll feel duty bound to attend to my needs.
Susan Deep breath and think Zen.
silverlinings I bags a slice of Battenburg. If there is enough, I'll share with Nannytopsy and N&G and all the rest of you lovely lot.
I've spent far too long tending Robbie's needs throughout the day. I had intended finishing the ironing and meant to dust and polish. Achieved the first task. No time (or will power) to attempt the second.
Dust waits. Or so I'm given to believe.
Until tomorrow
and here is this evening's colourful sky for good measure.
I have managed to order one gift from John Lewis on line, I then finished my book. GrandpaGravy is cooking this evening so I am sitting comfortably with a glass of wine.
Beautiful cat soop we haven’t any pets at the moment, I do miss having them.
TOYA
Best wishes for your last treatments Dragonfly.
I think “Nan’s sugary goodness” is the perfect name for battenburg. My son made his own once, which was truly delicious, and I had a set of tin and dividers for my birthday. It was several years ago and I still have not used them. I resolve to do it very soon!
We have achieved a few things today including shaving the lumps out of the cat’s fur - always a delight! Tomorrow is childcare ?.
Sleep well all TOYA.
Robbie is a beaut soop,he looks very well fed!
I love Battenburg cake silverlining and agree it’s the marzipan that’s makes it?
We were having a quiet and peaceful day then my mother phoned and now I am not feeling quite so peaceful?she gets bored and tries to stir things up.I should be used to it by now.I managed not to react but am sitting here silently fuming.DH and DD’s are cross too so at least I know I am not overreacting!
Glad your walk cheered you up dragonfly.Hope your last few treatments go well?
Soop, hope you are feeling less weary today and taking it easy?
TOYA
Ahhh silverlining I’m a huge marzipan fan too and I’ve passed that love on to Jackson who now refers to it as ‘Nana’s sugary goodness cake’ . He’s a chip off the old block that boy ??
Cake is now eaten, had to share with dh, and have to say it never disappoints. I think it’s the marzipan that makes it and am always surprised that so many people don’t like it. It’s certainly fir me a big reason to eat Christmas cake.
Hope the chemo goes ok dragonfly. It’s a buggeration I know.
Take care all.
Oops the kitchen is about to drop off under the weight of games so will sign in to say hello to all on this fairly grey Sunday. Not going out today but have had a few sunny walks this last week or two and it’s winter so should not complain.
I have half a Battenburg cake saved for this afternoon with a cup of tea so that’s what I shall be doing shortly. If anyone wants to join me they are welcome but they should hurry.
Happy Sunday all , it’s my dd birthday today which is why I will eat cake ( but on my own).
That is a beautiful cat soop I can see why these cats are drawn to you and Mac. You are so kind.
I got up feeling quite down but when the sun came out I went out to the farm shop and bought some eggs which were still warm. That cheered me up immensely. It is surprising what little things please in these times.
We had a lot of Diwali fireworks last night. I was pleased Dexter wasn't with us.
Just charging my batteries this weekend for the next round of radiotherapy. I can at least see the end in sight.
Sending love to you all.
A dank but cheerful good afternoon dear Granspals. It appears that you lot are turbo charged. I, on the other hand, am easing gently into Sunday.
Robbie called by at ten-ish. He's had a jolly good brunch and is sitting in the copse, considering the meaning of life. He sits the other side of the fence when I take his food outside. At one time, he ran away. Now we have a wee chat. At least, I do. He appears to listen. The moment I turn my back, he comes through the wire fence and settles down to enjoy his meal. Purina biscuits with a sachet of fish or meat chunks in jelly/gravy. I cannot tell you how happy it makes us to offer him some comfort.
We're awaiting a cosy igloo that will sit on the mat inside the chalet. It should be delivered mid-week.
I hope that every one of you has something to smile about. I shall call in again a little later.
Any brandy snaps going begging? Thought not.
I have just had a lovely cheering phone call from a dear friend and all, for now, is well with my world.
She lives in a village where collectively some have decided to put their Decs up on December 1st to give some cheer.
24 people are doing windows which will be lit up in turn and people will buy a map with the money going to charity and they will visit a house each evening to see the display.
My friend has drawn no 1 so she will be setting the standard.
As she is very devout hers will be a Nativity scene, without the baby Jesus, he goes in on Christmas Eve night.
I think it is a great idea.
Sadly I can’t get into Christmas, oh well, it may come.
Best wishes to all for a lovely peaceful Sunday.
Galen
Cake now has to rest and be fed until just before Xmas, when I will marzipan and ice it. Then I’ll bring whatever is left into the kitchen after Gary has had his helping!?
I think I might come back in my next life as a Christmas cake- resting and being fed brandy or whatever until Christmas sounds tempting! ?
Morning all,
Hope MrLins is feeling ok this morning.
I don’t make Christmas cake because ( whispers here ....I don’t like it) but Grampy is a happy taste tester for anyone that needs one.
We only had low bang fireworks here Charley so it was surprisingly quiet. Sam doesn’t mind them a bit . Must be the spaniel in him . He’s not fearful of anything except missing dinner ! Oh and Grampy leaving him behind anywhere ??
I’ll send Sam into the kitchen to pick up those cake crumbs doodle if no one minds. He’s an excellent Hoover !
I’ve obviously missed your new arrival Soop ! What a pretty looking cat .
We are on phase 2 of our Christmas decorating extravaganza . It’s the enchanted forest in the hall today . Plus putting back all the empty boxes in the loft.
Our village this year is going a winter wonderland walk in December. If you decorate your house or even your windows or just have a Christmas tree in a window you are put on the map. Then people can buy a map for a £1 ( to benefits the little school) and families can walk round the village ticking off decorated houses. The village cafe will be open for take away hot chocolate and mince pies.
We usually have Santa in his grotto but obviously not this year . I hope it brings a smile at the end of a desperate year.
I am off to make sausage rolls..... for no better reason than I can. I’ll drop a plate in later.
Happy day all x
Puzzler I was informed they were celebrating Diwali. I do not really understand because none go to church. Admittedly there were at least 6 households having parties- it is just that being next door to the equivalent of bombs going off frightened me because I was sure my windows would be damaged. I hope we do not have a repeat performance tonight.
Your ‘rant’ is echoed by many Charley.
Few people with pets would entertain setting them off near to houses. It makes me cross to see the new breed of fireworks on sale in our shops like Supermarkets.
They are So Loud.
What happened to Roman Candles and Silver Fountains?
I hope it stops soon for you and Tara. It isn’t even 5th November anymore!
