Grandmafrench PLEASE put our minds at rest. We are concerned. It's so unlike you to not visit the kitchen and share some much needed joy.

Doodle Thank you for news of Panache. Both husband and wife are inspirational in the way that they cope with adversity and continue to soldier on.

I hope your nights without George was up to scratch Galen and you didn’t use it in the boeuf!
Yet another late start for us - my fear over retirement was that we would become nocturnal. We tend to stay up too late, then lie in too long.
Sewing today - I must finish DGD’s Christmas present.
Have a good day everyone.

GrannyGravy13 Sat 05-Dec-20 08:49:42

Good morning Kitchen friends, the weekend is upon us and my bit of sky was streaked with pink when I first looked out.

cornergran Fri 04-Dec-20 23:17:24

Belated Happy birthday from me too galen. Did you keep very quiet about your birthday or have I been sleep reading again? Probably me, I’m missing a lot at the moment, covid brain has struck.

Doodle Fri 04-Dec-20 22:51:42

Galen Fri 04-Dec-20 22:47:55

Consider yourself chastised soop
I celebrated my birthday a day late with Gary and Kate having a fondue beef bourguinogne.
A lovely evening with a bottle of nights without George!

Doodle Fri 04-Dec-20 20:58:38

ann that is good news. You seem to be doing well.
Panache has been anxiously waiting for steroids for her dear man. After many, many days of hassle they have finally arrived and they managed a short walk in the garden to celebrate. Panache isn’t up to posting much at the moment but she popped into the Lockdown gang with a message for Grammaretto. I will mention you were asking after her ?
Grandmafrench hope your leg is feeling better.
soop you are not allowed out in this weather especially in your dressing gown. If Galen was here, you would be soundly chastised. Take care of yourself ?

Nannytopsy Fri 04-Dec-20 19:36:25

It’s a quiet kitchen today. DH is cooking curry and I am trying to finish the ironing, in time to watch the rugby. We know how to live ?.
I cut his hair with the clipper thingy today - it’s rather short! He may need to wear his hat in this weather. He shares the clipper with our long haired cat who sometimes needs clumps of fur removing. ?

Puzzler61 Fri 04-Dec-20 17:33:41

I hope our Grandmafrench is alright. I don’t think she was on the forum yesterday or today.
If you’re reading but not feeling up to posting Grandmafrench - how is your leg?
Sending a big wraparound Hug ? Please Get Well very soon lovely lady ?

soop Fri 04-Dec-20 17:28:55

puzzler That is precisely what I hoped you'd say. grin

I am ashamed to say that I've been busy watching snooker. Please do not chastise me. It was a stressful morning what with the collapsed apartment and other minor incidents. I suddenly realised that I should take your good advice and do nowt out of the ordinary. wink

Away to feed said pussy cat. She must be wondering where her waitress has got to. hmm

Until we meet again tomorrow. Thank you for your company. smile moon

GrannyGravy13 Fri 04-Dec-20 17:27:19

Grammaretto thinking of you thanks

cornergran Fri 04-Dec-20 17:24:49

Delighted to hear you are progressing ann. Good for you.

Oh soop, outside, December and dressing gown truly don’t go together. You sure you didn’t huff and puff and blow the house down? Agree, the supplier needed some feedback, not everyone has a macs to understand the issue and fix it. Fern is a lucky soul

Been thinking of grammaretto, a sad day.

Thought the baby was lost from our nativity scene, feelingmyage, eventually discovered in a box of candles. I remembered then, it had escaped last year and been putwith the candles because I was sure I’d look in there first. Really? I wonder about me sometimes. Hope your nativity turns up, ours is also part of our tradition and I know I’d be upset if it vanished.

Tech battles here today before a wander out. I’ve decided I am at least 60 years too old to understand anything that needs an app to make it work.

TOYA. wishing you all a peaceful weekend.

soop Fri 04-Dec-20 17:24:03

Bravo! Ann

Grammaretto We are holding you gently in our thoughts.

Feelingmyage55 Fri 04-Dec-20 16:59:32

Good evening. It is now completely dark and the ground is covered in a couple of inches of snow. There has been a stushie over a pigeon (pigeon lost) by my neighbours’ cats, all of whom seem to prefer my quiet garden to their respective ones. I think they are here to get peace from the children and dogs. Hence there are lots of paw prints of different sizes, feathers etc ‘defiling’ the snow. That’s nature.
soop. I do hope you are taking it easy and not being tempted by the festive season to get up to high jinks.
grammaretto I am sure your family are supporting you. We are all with you in spirit and will be here with a listening ear.
I am knitting a garment for one of my “children”. Now that he is over 6 feet it is taking a lot longer than it did 25 years ago. I’ve had to order extra wool.
The Nativity scene has gone amiss. It is part of the family tradition. I shall start looking again tomorrow and hope, as is often the case, that it is where I first already looked. At least it is not in the fridge.
Take care of you and yours.

Puzzler61 Fri 04-Dec-20 16:35:39

I also send warm wishes to Grammaretto and hope she got through this sad day of saying Goodbye to her dear man.
annsixty your progress is wonderful to hear, but please be careful where and how you are putting your leg over in and out of the bath. ?

Puzzler61 Fri 04-Dec-20 16:31:06

Oh what a cat-astrophe! (Sorry for the pun, I couldn’t resist).
I had every faith in MacS to sort it out and you soop must be resting. Outdoors in your dressing gown in December! Ye God’s - you must not be doing that again. Please.
Saying swear words is allowed to vent your frustration
and a stern word to the manufacturer’s was in order.
Glad Fern was unfazed - it could have been worse if she had actually been in it at the time it collapsed.
Wishing all kitcheners the best weekend you can have. It’s getting very busy out there at the shops so please take care.
I met a lady with a little girl posting her letter to Santa today.
I stepped aside for her to drop it in the postbox (and mum filmed her doing it) and said “ your letter is far more important than mine. I was rewarded by a smile. ? ?

Grandmabatty Fri 04-Dec-20 15:27:54

Annsixty ??? Well done you! Soop how annoying. I hope it stays up now. I'm just home, having been at dd's all day. I was watching dgs to let dd go and get her hair done. She was so upset as she found her first grey hair. It's now well and truly covered in dye. I have very little hair as a result of various auto immune things, but what I have is still really dark so I pointed that out to her. Her flat pack furniture was delivered very smartly and she intends to build it tonight. I'm sure she will as she's a very capable girl. Her husband is on night shifts so he'll help out tomorrow. Dgs was in seventh heaven as it was quite a big lorry and he loves any form of transport. It's a gey dreich day and getting dreicher. I'm having mince and potatoes for tea later then a tesco delivery with the last of the Christmas presents. I'll put up the decorations and the tree this weekend
