Good morning Mick and All.

It rained for England here in South Bucks yesterday but it is looking better this morning.

I wonder if our friend Mary the Imelda Marcos of scarves, shoes and jewellery managed to sort one of her many wardrobes yesterday ? we shall have to wait and see.

Off to lunch at Cote today after a nice Autumnal walk. Back to reality tomorrow.

Have a relaxed day folks.

Morning Mick morning All. Dry and chilly in our corner of Somerset. I was awake early. Mr C still sleeping. Needs to stir as we have some furniture being delivered, best we have clothes on. Take care everyone.

Good morning from a bright, sunny Norfolk.

The hour change has messed up my sleep completely, poor pooch didn’t bat an eyelid surprisingly but enjoyed the early walk.

Not much planned today, will pop back later to catch up with everyone as I’m not usually up this early.

Have a good day everyone.

Hope gilly is okay.

Good morning from a brightening Colchester. Lots of overnight rain and a couple of showers in the forecast.
Another house viewing this morning and roast pork dinner to look forward to.

Good morning, everyone, from an unexpectedly fine morning here in Torbay,

Scentia, having your bank card cloned does make you feel violated but I’m glad the bank was supportive.

It rained most of yesterday so I enjoyed reading my paper in my local on Babbacombe Downs then browsing for family Christmas cards in a nearby card shop, blissfully empty!

I’m looking forward to attending church again today after an absence of a few weeks. Ours is large enough to accommodate the congregation whilst observing social distancing. It’s directly opposite my home which is convenient!

Have as good a day as possible, weather and worries permitting.

Good morning Mick and the GM team from a lighter east London. I am grateful for the lighter mornings, I was finding the darkness until about 7.30am, really tiresome.

The slooow wardrobe clear out continues. I have donated a lot of jewellery to the Alzheimer’s Disease Society and have been listing things on EBay. I have sold 19 items so far - clothes, shoes, jewellery and a couple of purses and have made a nice little pot of money. I will treat myself to something nice!
It’s certainly not the fastest way to clear out your wardrobe.

I plan a walk to the park today and am roasting a piece of pork for our supper.

For any Inspector Rebus fans, I had ‘A Song for the Dark Times’, the latest Rebus as part of my birthday presents. I have just finished it and enjoyed it very much.

I think Marydoll was saying yesterday that gilly may not return to GN. I hope that isn’t the case, but send her very best wishes. Also good wishes to Bluesapphire, who may not return either.

? to those facing challenges today. Have a lovely day, all. ?

Good morning from a windy but bright Leicestershire.

Had a lovely day after all yesterday as my best friend in Holland rang me. I do miss her so.
Not seeing anyone in person until the numbers start going down!

Walking this morning while it is dry.

Roast beef for dinner.

lovebeigecardigans1955 Sun 25-Oct-20 07:15:40

Morning all from South Notts where the sun is trying to break through after a wild and wet night.
Your carpentry is fabulous Scentia perhaps you could hire yourself out!
The weekly shop beckons later. Yesterday I felt that there was more traffic than usual - perhaps people were having a last fling before lockdown becomes severe in these parts. I think I'm grown up enough to decide what is considered 'essential' don't you?
Hope all is well with everyone, especially those with worries or illness.

kittylester Sun 25-Oct-20 07:13:19

Good morning all from a dry North Leicestershire. It obviously ran out of rain after yesterday's spectacular down pours - most of which seems to have landed in our hall. The roof man has a plan though- I'll just leave this bowl here for donations - thank you!!

Off to see Wondrous Wolfie and his big sister while we all watch their big brother play football.....expect rain in South Leicestershire at about 9.30 then!!

Roast chicken with lemon for a late lunch when we get back and then the papers.

Could you put me on your list for jobs please, scentia.

Sending love to our gilly and hoping everyone has a lovely day.

Good morning Mick and all from the Scottish Borders. I love to think how I'm going to spend my extra hour.
You are so clever Scentia the book
box looks fab.
Oh dear grandMatte what a shame. I hope your family are all safe.

Dwmxwg you had a lovely day out as we did yesterday. I didn't think DH was strong enough but he really enjoyed our walk and car boot picnic in the beautiful Perthshire woods. It was a tonic to see the family.
Have the best day you can everyone.

Pantglas2 Sun 25-Oct-20 06:55:13

Morning all from a damp but less blustery north Wales where I’m enjoying the chamberpot and contemplating the day - nothing planned but will strip the bed and spin the mattress this morning - riveting eh?

Haven’t watched any cycling this year and last night’s rugby ? against France was disappointing, Scotland will be a hard game!

Have peaceful day everyone and especially those not feeling clever at the moment ?

GrannyGravy13 Sun 25-Oct-20 06:51:18

Good morning Mick and all

Dry and just getting light here in S E Essex.
Absolutely nothing planned for today other than roast pork for dinner later. I have downloaded Richard Osmans book The Thursday Murder Club to my kindle so might start that.

You are clever Scentia, I have some jobs that need doing grin

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️

Good morning from a dry north Surrey, after a very wet and windy evening yesterday.
Had a lovely time with my sisters catching up with all our family news and making sure we are all in agreement with how we continue to support mum and dad as the coronavirus numbers increase and possible tier changes. At the moment we are all in tier one in our different councils but very likely to change over the coming weeks.
DGS2 was 6 yesterday. They had a lovely day at Legoland and we visited for cake and candles when they got home. He is Star Wars obsessed and a had a full size stormtrooper balloon, DD videoed him and his face was hilarious when he first saw it!
My turn to visit mum and dad today, will walk Freddie (our Golden Retriever) at Virginia Water first as on the way to them and he can stay in the car as he is far too big and boisterous for their little bungalow. This afternoon we have a short walk arranged with DS and partner and our DGDs. The baby has started smiling so hope to catch one if we are lucky but suspect she will sleep in her pram. DGD1 is 2 and I have been buying a few C*****s bits and bobs so looking forward to giving them and seeing her face light up with excitement.
Hope everyone remembered the clock change and got their extra hour in bed, happy Sunday to all

grandMattie Sun 25-Oct-20 06:41:09

Belated good morning from a grey dry E Kent. I always get into a tangle with the change of clocks.
Goodness, I can’t remember sleeping so late for so long. I then the vaccine must have zonked me. Sore arm this morning and rage yesterday. Not a soul said anything unnecessary like “good morning” at the surgery. It was like being production line fodder.
Poor DS2 has had a call from work to say his no. 2 at work has tested positive as, curiously, has the son of a friend he visited so now is in isolation. Yet again when he’s on his time off, his 18 days, he can’t do anything. The last time he was in hospital, this time, he has to isolate. He was due take his boy to see DD, and enjoy himself.
Nothing on today. Virtual church, roast chicken.
Have the best day. Stay safe.

Good Morning everyone from Severnside where it is getting light. I woke at what would be my normal time. It was dark with many stars.

A good job Scentia. It’s very pleasing when you do something for next to nothing or even free.

I took my drive yesterday and was surrounded by autumn colour. It was so beautiful.

I think I’ll make a curry today and carry on doing crafty things.

I’m watching The Indian Doctor and it’s feeling so close to home at the moment with the smallpox outbreak and having to stay home and keep our distance.

Have a good day all ?

Scentia Sun 25-Oct-20 06:15:57

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire. Cold but dry here at the moment
The cycling must have been exciting yesterday as my DH was telling me all about it, I was not really interested but I sat an listened, now apparently the English guy is in front with the same time and it is all down to a time trial today. See I was listening?
Gardening for me today, I built the book box yesterday and I am extremely proud of it.
DH has had his card cloned and they had a field day in Argos on Thursday. He called his bank and the money was back in his account within the hour. Quite impressed, but I felt like he had been personally attacked, he said it is not personal, these people just pick cards randomly.
I have sold all the off cuts of wood from the book box so it has literally cost nothing as I used some old board books for the feet.
Have a good Sunday and take care of yourselves.
Just in case you missed my picture of the book box yesterday, here it is❤️

Good Morning Everyone,
Its still dark here in Brackley this morning but cold and dry ,
Today, a small shop later followed by lunch and settle down and watch the final time trial of the Giro , which will be an interesting finale as we have a Brit and Aussie on equal time ,so who ever gains time on the other will be the overall winner .
Restless last night with the extra hour , body clock needs to adjust .
Take Care
Mick
