Not far, our kitchen, with children, GC and friends gathered as it used to be!

Teetime

Do you mean Clapham ?

This all sounds lovely. What I really meant was when you are sitting quietly where does you mind wander to?

Yes Lily We watched that too. Anything showing Venice I'm glued to. We have watched Francesco da Mosto's Venice several times.

The beautiful Aysgarth Falls are a triple flight of waterfalls, surrounded by woodland and farmland, carved out by the River Ure over an almost one-mile stretch on its descent to mid-Wensleydale in the Yorkshire Dales of England, near the village of Aysgarth.

Teetime, you may never visit a far flung place in America but YouTube can take you there. One of the most impressive sights that we ever saw was Ruby Falls.

Ruby Falls is a series of underground cascading waterfalls totalling 145 feet in Lookout Mountain, near Chattanooga, Tennessee, in the United States. Here's a link:

Whilst we were there we stayed in the old railway station, now a hotel and all the rooms are former sleeper cars from various railways. There's also a heritage railway line so that tourists can ride The Chattanooga Choo Choo.

Agree, Kate1949. Venice is the first place I thought of. We have been eleven times now and know the quiet places as well as the showstoppers. We saw it portrayed on the recent BBC adaptation of 'Us' with Tom Hollander and the DH and I both said, 'We must go back when we can.'

Never in a million years did I think I'd ever go to Venice. I've been four times now. It's magical. Yes it's crowded, expensive and all the other negatives you hear about it but it's wonderful.

I'm a real daydreamer and I find I have one or two regular destinations, Clapton in the Yorkshire Dales - the footpath to the Ingleton climb and Aysgarth Falls. Care to share and describe to help us think some some lovely things and places today.
