Oh! Well, I'm trying to work out when I had the flu vaccine and when I started a week's course of antibiotics,
Perhaps that's why I've been feeling unwell.

Oh!
Well, she definitely said it would reduce efficiency. She never said it may make me unwell.
I hope not!
Watch this space, but either way I have work early tomorrow, so I'll try not to be poorly.

It doesn't reduce efficiency. It's not recommended to be on antibiotics when you have the jab or any immunisation because your body is already dealing with an infection and having an immunisation on top of that can make you very unwell. I would not have been allowed to give someone the immunisation if they told me they had another infection and needed antibiotics. That's why nurses ask you.

It might save someone from an unnecessary trip.
The nurse said I may want to postpone the jab until after the antibiotics. (I didn't though)

I didn't know that. Thanks for the heads up.

I phoned the dentist this morning, as I have an abscess, and was told I would get a call back, which came the very second I got in the doctors for the jab.

Never having had it before, i was unaware that antibiotics can reduce the efficiency of the flu vaccine. (according to the nurse)

Just thought i would mention it, in case anyone didn't know.
