Heard on the radio this morning that we are the only country with a royal family. The rest of Europe ditched that many years ago. The european sovereigns ride round on bikes or take the bus. I rather like that.

They are, but they don’t act like ours, probably because our Queen sticks so closely to the rules that she followed as ‘a gal’ , sadly PC will want to continue to be waited on hand foot and finger (as my Mum would have said) so I can’t see him wanting to change the status quo any time soon.
maybe if we turned our RF all upside down we would find an Expiry Date on them ? Hopefully 2022 or sooner.

The Belgian Royal Family still seem to maintain the trappings of royalty. They don’t live in the Palace in Brussels any longer, it is only used for state ceremonial, but their current residence on the outskirts of the city - the Castle of Laeken - is hardly a two up two down. Can’t see them riding round on bicycles either, though I know the Dutch royal family have been known to!

He does have a moral right to wear them. He has honorary titles and the medals are in relation to those, They are not and should not be confused with medals given to those due to their time in military action.

So when you took photographs of the RF did you give them away for free, or were you paid Paddyanne? Would you be glad to see the end of the RF if you were still taking their photo's and they were the only ones you were being paid for?

I know they are only Serene Highness, as opposed to HRH, but thought the House of Grimaldi was a pretty old one.

Clearly, paddyanne you should have gifted the photographs as it is beyond the pale to ask the RF to pay for anything. I think that may be the reason it is mentioned so often.

The RF are just a centuries old soap opera now more like the Kardashians, dressing up in lavish outfits, posing for photos, and throwing a few crumbs of info to the hungry masses who lap it up. There is no point to them other than as decorations.

Edward tried to get into the media years ago, so H and M are doing nothing new. His attempt sunk like a stone I recall.
