Ellianne - I suspect Harry could almost do an Astaire but not hope in hell that Sarah Ferguson do everything Fred does, only backwards and in high heels.

Ellianne Mon 16-Nov-20 19:21:09

She does have the same colour hair as Harry. Maybe they could dance a Fred and Ginger number.

Oh remembered wrongly, sorry Calendargirl.

Calendargirl Mon 16-Nov-20 18:01:38

Sarah was not the organiser Puzzler, it was Prince Edward’s idea.

A real flop, he has never lived it down, I bet he wishes it had been Sarah’s debacle.

She was in a team, along with Anne and Andrew.

I am not a Royal Basher by any means, but does
anyone remember the then Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson organising a team of royals to take part in “It’s A Royal Knockout” in the 80’s? It wasn’t well received.
Sarah was described by one newspaper as a “gallumphing imbecile”. Good job she didn’t sign up for Strictly!

The BBC is always looking for new ideas on Strictly. Perhaps H & M could do a duet for the opening number.

lemongrove Mon 16-Nov-20 15:55:27

Or rub their backs?

Calendargirl Mon 16-Nov-20 15:18:28

I’d rather see Meghan on Strictly.

Bet she’d be pretty good, as long as she didn’t try and lead her professional partner.

Ellianne Mon 16-Nov-20 15:17:14

grin lemongrove
Yes, he may well be shouting that in a year or two! Poor mixed up guy!

lemongrove Mon 16-Nov-20 15:11:35

Or on I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here .....?

NotSpaghetti Mon 16-Nov-20 14:34:56

trisher

Hasn't he already done that?

grin
If you've listened to this album there are two good tracks for Harry to dance to:
Side 1
I want it All
Side 2
Was it All worth it?
Sorry, I'm a massive Queen fan! The band
I mean! grin

Hasn't he already done that?

Puzzler61 Mon 16-Nov-20 10:17:27

Yes! ?

Anniebach Mon 16-Nov-20 10:01:19

?

Ellianne Mon 16-Nov-20 10:00:12

I reckon he should dance to Queen's "I want to break free."

Ellianne Mon 16-Nov-20 09:55:13

grin puzzler

suziewoozie Mon 16-Nov-20 09:52:24

IMO royal status of any royal is much overrated. I have a very strange admiration for people who do well for themselves without inherited privilege playing its nasty part.

Puzzler61 Mon 16-Nov-20 09:47:41

Perhaps Harry will be asked if he wants to be on Strictly next year Ellianne ?

Ellianne Mon 16-Nov-20 09:14:12

Sorry, my fault. I was guilty yesterday of posting on the Harry thread here instead of on the Strictly thread! The Claudia/swearing comments took us off topic. Apologies.
BUT it does serve to show that Harry is now entering the realms of the celebrity world more and more and I feel his royal status will fast diminish.

suziewoozie Mon 16-Nov-20 09:09:29

<sigh>

Puzzler61 Mon 16-Nov-20 09:01:21

Well, Harry’s appearance on Strictly didn’t prevent people voting for JJ as some feared it might - the public vote saved him. I look forward to his progress this week.

Calendargirl Sun 15-Nov-20 13:50:06

Ellianne

I felt sorry for Claudia having to apologize for the swearing. I'm not sure anyone heard it, and if they did it might have been better to move on and ignore it rather than make a fuss.

I have re-watched Max’s dance to see what he said.
I couldn’t hear it, but obviously it was the f word as the dance finished, (judging from lip reading his mouth).

I don’t think anyone would have heard what he said, but I suppose they are always worried about such occurrences.

Pity he didn’t just stay silent.
