Ive discovered Stainless Steel ones and love them, great grip on the clothes, fed up with the plastic ones always breaking on me over time, and don’t like the wooden ones

The normal cheap plastic ones. I always pair up the colours!
Trendy good luck for tomorrow keep us updated x

Wooden.
I think there is more plastic than we need without buying plastic pegs. I haven't seen stainless steel ones but will look them up next time I need some.

I have plastic ones which are cushioned so no marks on clothes. I always match the colours too ?

Charleygirl5 Mon 16-Nov-20 22:14:34

OMG I thought I was the only one who colour matched my plastic clothes pegs and worse still they must not clash with whatever I am hanging up. Sad I know!

Matching clothes pegs here too. I draw the line at them clashing with the colour of the clothes. Well I hadn’t thought about it till you said Charley ☺️

Plastic cushioned ones, randomly pegged.
You lot have too much time on your hands! ?

Bog standard wooden and plastic here, some spring loaded, some not, and I don’t even match up the type, never mind the colour.

As for worrying about buying more plastic, that ship sailed long ago. I don’t think I’ve had to buy any since I stocked up in 1975.

Anyone else remember making peg dolls with the children out of the wooden ones and scraps of wool and material? They were easily pleased, my lot!

Susan56 Mon 16-Nov-20 23:31:34

Plastic cushioned ones here too.I like to have matching clothes pegs and like them to match the clothes I am hanging up!

Plastic and wooden. I use wooden for heavy items as they are stronger. I don't have time to colour match pegs.

Spring loaded wooden ones.

I'm glad some contributors like to match their coloured pegs to garment colours and so on.
I love my wooden pegs but have a selection of plastic ones too. However
I have a four section whirligig clothes line and I have to have all my tops in one section, all my jeans and trews in another, all my pillowcases or whatever household in section 3 and undies in section 4.
Sometimes I have a giggle to myself about my drive to keep my washing neat!

I have plastic ones but they do break easily as I keep them outside so they go through extremes of temperature. I don't have enough colours to match them up to the washing though!

Wooden ones make horrible marks on the washing. I still have an unopened bag of 40 or so pegs but should they ever run out, I will look for stainless steel ones.

Spring clip wooden. I like the feeling of wood.

I only use them in the kitchen - to close food packets, and glued to the notice board - never for washing!

Thanks Bluesky I leave in hour

I’ve got Lakeland plastic ones which are cushioned at the moment, but I will replace them with stainless as they break now you’ve mentioned it, I didn’t know they existed and it makes sense as they should last forever.
