Another vacuous thread! Tenuous Claims to Fame

My 3rd great aunt wrote 'Shakespeare in Love' - but I don't know if this is what the film was based on.

My 5th great uncle was an artist and friend of Keats.

I held Chesney Hawkes when he was a new born baby . His family lived in our village and his granny brought him into the village shop where I was the Saturday girl .

Also touched John Lennon’s jeans in the same shop! His seamstress lived across the road from us .

I went to college in Newcastle upon Tyne in the 70's and was in the same year as Liam Neeson. Little did we know what the future was to be for him, definitely not a teacher.

I spent an hour in the same room as Peter Sutcliffe , sitting no more than 6 feet away .

I sat at a table next to Jane Seymour and her family. My daughter pointed her out but I had never heard of her.

I taught a mass murderer.He did all the little messages for me and sat at the front in class.

Here’s a tenuous connection...We stayed in a B and B in Sussex and noticed photos of ... a famous journalist /tv personality /interviewer with his own prog/still alive/ who no one likes, /went to the US /think he’s back here now... it’s on the tip of my tongue...help me out someone, please.
Anyway the photos were with tony Blair and with other well known faces. The owners said it was their son. Not Tony but the other one.
Later we had a walk round the garden and there he was, writing at a desk under the trees, waving at us cheerily. Wish I could remember his name, he really is famous.

Is it a bit more tenuous if I say that my DH (I wasn't there) had a drink in a Pub where Oliver Reid was still alive? Very drunk but alive.

My late mother-in-law worked with Lenny Henry’s Mum. My Mum and Dad and I went to a New Year’s Eve party at the home of Godfrey Baseley who was the producer of The Archers. DH and I were in a lift in a Glasgow hotel with Jackie Stewart and his wife.

Here’s a tenuous one. Over 50 years ago on the way to Cornwall we stayed at a cottage at Fairy Cross, Devon and the owner had a motor bike belonging to Lawrence of Arabia.

My daughter was an extra in a Stephen King movie which was filmed on her ward.
I have nursed a few famous people or their family but obviously cannot divulge names.
My dad worked as a gardener at Ascot racecourse. I have sat on the queen’s toilet and my little sister sat in the queen’s carriage

Fanny I had a thread recently where almost everyone didn’t read the OP. Interesting that so many want to air their claim to fame and ignore the tenuous part.

But the proper, grand ones are nowhere near as funny as the tenuous ones.
