Good morning from North Yorkshire. It’s raining again after a lovely day yesterday. The conservatory guttering keeps overflowing and I can’t reach, even on the steps, to sort it. Will have to find someone to help.
Decorated the mantelpiece yesterday. The tree will be done next weekend when DD2 comes. She is my bubble.
Happy to see some good granddaughter news this morning.
Mick GP and COVID test perhaps?
Have a good day everyone. Stay safe.

Good Morning Sunday
(73 Posts)Good v morning from a grey, damp Colchester.
A short walk this morning to my GP surgery for a flu jab. They run a military operation on Sundays to get everyone done.
Roast Pork at lunchtime today as DS has to drive back to base this afternoon.
Good morning all , the water feature has quite a substantial ice topping , I’ve just made a crack in it and released the floating solar fountain and will put it away later .
It’s very foggy ,I do hope it cheers up later as we are to give GD her Birthday gifts , in the garden , later
Mick do ring the out of hours
Good morning everyone from a rainy Essex.
Take care Mick - you have had a few funny turns recently so you MUST phone the doc again! ?.
Scentia a lovely baby girl on the way. I have 6 Gd’s . All as pretty as a picture and as sweet as sugar. (Twin Gs’s are gorgeous too, of course). ?.
I hope IRIS had a good night at home granmattie. ?
Your cross stitch advent calendar is beautiful Beauregard And has stood the test of time well. ?
We had DD and GC round for birthday lunch yesterday. Her birthday is today. We had a nice afternoon and made sausage rolls, Rocky road cakes and little GD decorated the Xmas cake. Also some Xmas craft to keep said GD occupied.
When they had gone, I took little pooch out around the neighbourhood and enjoyed seeing most of the houses decorated. It really does feel festive now. ?.
A quieter day today and beef in the slow cooker for this evening.
Grandmafrench hope you’re feeling back to your old cheery self soon. ?
Have a restful, peaceful day all. ?
Good Morning.
Mick,as others have said, do speak to your doctor again.
After some baking yesterday I decided to crochet some tiny stockings. I will fill them with sweets or mini gifts and distribute to neighbours. I’ve made 6 so a few to go !
It’s a bit murky at the moment but as long as it doesn’t rain, I will be off later for a walk. Actually it’s quite exciting as I am going with all three of my DDs. Normally we all get together at my house to make Christmas wreaths. Can’t have them all in at the moment so we shall wrap up warm and have an outdoor picnic.
Hope you all find a ? today.
Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s cold and wet. No snow right here but there’s snow in the hills just to the south, so we went for another walk there yesterday and warmed up with hearty soup in a local cafe afterwards.
Today I really must stay home and get sorted with the last few parcels and cards to post and whether I like it or not I must must must tackle the cleaning!
Mick please take the advice of everyone on here and get checked out, it might be something easily sorted and we all care about you.
What great news to look forward to next year Scentia!
Thats such a beautiful advent calendar Beauregard and it’s lovely to have something that’s been kept for so long, it must bring back many happy memories
Hope everyone finds something to enjoy today, even something small and take care whatever the day brings ?
Good morning Mick and all. Jack Frost has been busy overnight here on the S Welsh coast, we have a thick covering of the stuff. Mr Lins has resumed his early morning puppy walks, rather him than me. I join the polite requests to go and see your GP Mick. Lovely news Scentia. Lovely Advent Calendar Beauregard it is filled with happy memories for you whatever the contents over the years.
Will have a walk later when the pavements are aired. Mr L will watch the Grand Prix and beef casserole for our supper.
Hope Sunday is kind to everyone.
Good morning all from a very chilly North Leicestershire where it has just started raining.
I have about a dozen Christmas cards to left to write and I must nag DH to write his 6!!
Yesterday I had the components of a door wreath delivered. There is a Zoom course for assembling it but I'm not sure whether I'll manage to join in.
We have sausages in red wine for dinner - all part of the push to make room in the freezer for Christmas stuff!
We hope to video call 3 lots of dgc today too.
Mick, another one here saying 'please contact you gp asap'.
Have the best day possible everyone.
Good morning, everyone, from a distinctly chilly Torbay!
As someone who was (unexpectedly) diagnosed with a heart condition last January, Mick, I can only echo the comments on here. As it’s Sunday, ringing 111 may be the only source of advice today, so I would recommend ringing, even if you’re feeling better this morning.
It sounds like there are some happy plans afoot for several of you today which is good. What happy news from Scentia! £300 will be useful to those cubs and beavers, Dwmxwg. The best news must be from grandMattie regarding Iris' homecoming and I’m sure she will go from strength to strength now, with Christmas providing a welcome distraction from her discomfort.
I, too, will watch the GP today, Sar53, as will DH across Le Manche! No doubt your DH knows about Lewis Hamilton being laid up with Covid but what a great find in his (temporary) replacement - a fellow Brit, George Russell, who has earned second place on the grid for today's race!
The Advent Calendar looks super and as good as new, Beauregard and isn’t it lovely having decorations with so many memories attached? I still have some that belonged to my late Mum. Yes, I know what you mean about retirement giving unlimited time. As a working Mum, I’d put up the decorations in less than a day. This year it’s taken four days already but I’ve nearly finished.
Happy Sunday, everyone! Every blessing. ✝️
Good morning all from a dry misty north Wales and thank you lovely folks for your greetings yesterday- proper made my day, which was quietly spent scoffing and quaffing ???
What marvellous news Scentia- I’m quite jealous? and a trot out to Cliveden sounds lovely Nankate. here in north Wales (LL postcode) we’re been offered free entry to PortMeirion so must take advantage of a lunch out before Christmas methinks!
That advent calendar has served you well Beauregard - good job ?
Will pop back later and see what everyone else’s is up to - a peaceful Sunday to you all x
Good morning from Derbyshire where it's currently raining ☔
This morning DD has asked if we'll walk alongside while she takes the horse, Noregard, out on a ride. It will be the first time she's ridden her since she threw her off in the field a few weeks ago. She's since had her back checked, which was fine, so we can rule that out as being a possible cause. Me walking next to her will give her (?) more confidence and calm her. I just hope the rain stops first. After that we'll pick some sprouts, leeks and parsnips from the veg garden.
We had originally planned to put some Christmas decs up this morning but that will now wait another day. That's the great thing about being retired - there's always tomorrow for these jobs, or the day after....
One Christmas decoration we do have on display is the cross stitch advent calendar I made 25 years ago, which I thought I'd show you. I used to put chocolate Santa's and snowmen in the pockets, then after the children grew up/left I changed it to gravy bones for the dog. Sadly we lost her in February, so this year I've put chocolate mints in for me and DH ?
Mick hope your blood test and doctors appt. get to the bottom of what is wrong.
Scentia a girl, how lovely - one of each.
Hope Grandmafrench is feeling better.
Have a good Sunday.
Good morning from a thundery, wet Malta.
So sorry you felt so unwell yesterday Mick. I agree with others who have suggested you talk to your doctor. We all care about you on this lovely thread you started, so we feel concerned when you aren’t well.
Not much to add today. Just to wish you all a good day and stay safe everyone.☀️
Good morning everyone from another cold day in Essex by the sea.
I can only echo what others have said Mick , please see your GP and get yourself checked out. I hope you feel better today.
Yesterday I could hardly walk or move due to intense pain in my pelvic region. I had a disturbed night so will see how it goes today. I have absolutely no idea what has caused it.
DH is off to rugby with two of his grandsons this morning, I'll make sure he is well wrapped up.
I will have an 'empty' for a few hours. This afternoon and evening there is rugby, snooker, GP and football on the tv, deep joy !!!
Congratulations Scentia, a new granddaughter, how lovely. I have five and what joy they bring.
Have a lovely Sunday and stay safe everyone xx
Good Morning everyone. Still dark but foggy here in Oxfordshire as well Mick As everyone says it is time to see the GP
Lovely news Scentia
We are going away for a couple of nights 'glamping' in a cosy log cabin with a log burner and a hot tub and I am ridiculously excited!
Have a good Sunday everyone
Good morning from a grey dark E Kent.
Overslept, bad night, am normally up by 0530.
Mick, listen to everyone, try to see a GP your symptoms are not encouraging.
Good news. Out Iris is back home. She left hospital after lunch. I have no further news and, no doubt, will have some today. Now comes the long haul for her. She has known that this was on the cards since always. She is resilient.
Managed to make some shortbread and some chocolate biscuits as well as finish off the last few of 70: squares for a quilt. Now comes the assembling and finishing.
I hope today brings hope to the sad and depressed, relief to those in pain and an easy day for everyone else. Stay safe. X
Good morning from Shropshire.
Lovely news Scentia?
Mick, I agree with others, you need to call your GP again in the morning or if you feel unwell again today call 111.
Taking DGD to her swimming lesson this morning where we will meet DD then home hopefully for a relaxing afternoon. Its been lovely having DGD to stay for a couple of days, she has been singing the Christmas songs she has been learning at school and we have been doing Christmas crafts so actually been feeling quite festive.??
Hope Grandmafrench, Mary and Cherry are all feeling better.
Have a good day all and take care.
Good morning Mick and All
Yes time to follow up with the Doctor Mick.
Dark and cold in South Bucks.
We have a timed ticket to visit the grounds of NT Cliveden, we will be walking quickly to the cafe and shop as I think it will be 1 degree and dark cloud.
Congratulations on you happy news Scentia.
Good Morning everyone from a dry Severnside.
Lovely news Scentia. In the past I’ve never wanted to know the gender but when it slipped out in conversation when my niece was expecting I found myself looking forward to a him arriving.
I’m going to have a tidy up today and possibly wrap a few presents.
I too miss Urms Malaga weather reports so much so that I’ve taken up sniffing pine disinfectant ?
Have a good day all whatever you do ?
Mick please get an urgent face to face appointment with your GP . Breathless and blacking out are far from normal and must be taken seriously. It is clearly interfering with your life and mustn’t be ignored.
My dad had these symptoms and went on to have a quadruple heart by-pass and had a healthy life for many years after .
Kindly meant lecture is over .
Have a good day everyone x
Congratulations Scentia on your news. I love Sundays too, although often work, nice to have one off
Good morning Mick and all to come from north Surrey, not peeped out yet, birds singing and feels very cold.
Oh dear Mick, doesn’t sound a very pleasant feeling. Have you got a follow up appt with you GP?
Yesterday’s fun run went well, they have raised nearly £300 for their Cubs and Beavers group.
Need to get going as am looking after DGSs whilst DD works an early shift. We will do a drive by visit to DS to deliver a card for his birthday today. May get a peep of DGDs but hope that doesn’t upset the 2 year old.
Have a woodland walk planned with dog and DGSs. Roast chicken for dinner and the boys and grandads teams are playing each other this afternoon so there will be some friendly rivalry.
Wishing everyone a happy Sunday
Good Morning all from East Staffordshire where it is still dark and feels cold. mick you really must try to see your doctor that rounds badxx
We found out yesterday that we are having a little granddaughter next year, everyone was so pleased that they will have 1 of each. Now we need to think of a name, exciting times!!
Today I am off to the trails to take my DGS for his constitutional walk to the duck pond. Then breakfast at the take away cafe. I love Sunday❤️
Take care folks and look after yourself Michael
Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark, but its also foggy here in Brackley this morning.
My planned trip never happened , seated wafting for the bus I started to feel as I wanted to black out and was breathing hard, returned to my flat and rested for awhile , it had not been as bad as previous occasions .
Anyway , decided to post my fried her card instead when I was Ok .
Today will be quiet , but to add have found having a paracetamol helped in a way .
Take Care ,
Mick
