Hello Rufus and all.
Yes CH going full blast, did a Big supermarket shop today, first time for weeks, really hate it, had on line shopping mostly since March so got out of the habit I suppose. YourCovid record continues still great, I wonder if mask wearing will be relaxed here eventually, now it’s so cold I find that so difficult with specs steaming up all the time. My other half finds it particularly difficult with his breathing problems but not going into shops much at all so will persevere.
Iguess you haven’t got The Crown on Netflix have you Rufus? We don’t have Netflix but I’m not sure I’d watch it anyway, sounds awful, I’m not too much of a Royalist but I do think, from what I’ve read, it’s Fiction posing as Fact and some people actually believe it to be true, bit sad really when the ‘characters’ are still around.

Cheers ????????

Hi Rufus, cold and sunny here, heating on. Neil Oliver is brilliant, he brings everything alive and sometimes a tad scary. 37 days, what an achievement, a long way off here I think.
Mr J has just fixed our upstairs toilet, so will deserve his roast chicken later, our tree is still lounging in a bucket of water in the garden until next weekend, cards all posted, bar one. I had to compose a ditty for it as we’ve bought friends a magazine subscription for next year..so the envelope has ‘do not open until 25th’ all over it!
Take care ?

Hi Rufus2. We have actually moved on from those days. Currently it's down to Rangers and Celtic to represent interclan warfare. Mind you I'm always a bit careful with Campbells!
Sunny day at last. DH putting up the Christmas tree. I've got a nice chunky lentil and ham going in the soup maker and an afternoon of rubbishy American Christmas films in prospect. Happy days tchsmile

The C/H is on this evening even though it’s our 6th day of “Summer” and my blood is running cold having just watched “Blood of the Clans” on TV.
Jane you asked recently whether I preferred documentaries v drama. Well, we got two for the price of one with it being labelled a “docu-drama” shock
Compered by Neil Oliver, who did an excellent job of a doom and gloom commentary, although most of the footage told the grim story.
What a blood-thirsty lot your ancestors were; we started with the all-powerful Campbell clan headed by Archie who was a real nasty-piece of work.!
In fact, all the subsequent Clan bosses weren’t any better and I couldn’t see any “Goodies” to cheer for, nothing but “baddies”!
Armies were being massacred all over Scotland and it seemed a question of who was trying to suffer the most! English captions were used at times to explain the Gaelic!
Anyway, here’s a Sassenach trying to teach Grannies how to suck eggs! I expect all this was taught regularly during your schooldays.!
Next Sunday it will be Rob Roy’s turn; now there’s a charmer! shock

Now for our good news! 37 days Covid free and even more relaxing from the Rules with masks only to be worn in certain situations; not clearly defined yet!
Working from home is probably to be allowed for a while yet without any moves to allow employers to compel returns back to the coalface. Many staff prefer that the status quo remain. Forgotten how many will now be allowed to attend my funeral; could be up to 100. grin

Christmas is rushing up now; only 3 weeks and I haven’t posted any UK cards yet. Probably too late, but every excuse this year. I was going to cull the list anyway, especially of people who only remember me at Christmas, Most of my local cards are from MPs, medical practices and suchlike, but they don’t get cards from me, I’m afraid.

Man City getting back to winning ways after an early rocky start!
Test matches against India appear to be goers because the T20s are underway; always depending on the weather of course, especially the Melbourne variety.

Actually saw another large jet today heading for Tulla. If that means more Army we’ll soon be on a war-footing.
Will have to turn the C?H up another couple of notches; still shivering after all that Clan blood-letting. hmm
Good Health wine wine wine
