I posted that to make it trend and get people to look at the thread.

A thread trending says ' Is this normal' it is a family problem but thought it would be health!........has to be some clarity from GNHQ

Love the title of this thread and totally agree!

I wasn’t getting at your thread title Luccagrin
I never go on the games threads but there must be a whole army of posters who do.

BlueBelle Fri 11-Dec-20 08:46:14

Yes lucca the most irritating thing, you rack you’re brains to think of good advice to write to an upset poster and then 6 posts down someone says why not try blah blah blah (exactly the same) and others pop up and says ‘oh yes that’s a good idea’ ?
Dont get me on Games threads !!!
I can only presume this forum is half baked because we re all “little old dears who won’t know any better and who wouldn’t understand technology anyway”

FannyCornforth Fri 11-Dec-20 08:43:07

Lucca I think that on a lot of threads people don't read further than the opening post.
And some don't even get beyond the title! tchgrin

Also it’s a similar issue to people not reading a whole thread and saying the same thing as has been said before.......

FannyCornforth Fri 11-Dec-20 08:34:32

My thread title was very clear.
Ive said this many times before, the games threads clutter up the active board and discussion threads aren't easily visible.

FannyCornforth Fri 11-Dec-20 08:32:27

Great title! tchgrin
I started the first thread, and it did rather get my goat when the others followed!

Sorry I should have just stuck to “many threads about the same thing” as a title ! It’s just that recently for example there were three threads about the vaccine and those did contain a lot of interesting posts. I don’t understand why there can’t be some sort of “folder” for all the games......

lemsip Fri 11-Dec-20 08:31:01

yes, I wish GNHQ could somehow merge threads that are on same subject or give clear guidance on how to head your subject!

I thought it was about my trigger finger - I can’t bend the middle finger of my right hand probably cos of all those weeds I pulled up during the summer. Thought it was getting better but hurts like hell when I peel spuds.

Sometimes threads get put on trending and then end up superceding previous ones. I must admit I don’t always check on the forum topic page. Maybe there could be some kind of link?

Barbara is worth a few threads , I don’t see the problem
All those games threads , on the other hand .....

BlueBelle Fri 11-Dec-20 08:05:28

I thought it was about repetitive wrist injury from typing ??

They should be incorporated by an admin when there are multiply threads about the sane thing it happens on other forums so why not on this one

watermeadow Fri 11-Dec-20 07:38:54

I thought this thread was about thread!
Nearing the end of a handsewn patchwork quilt and definitely suffering from repetitive thread injury!

janeainsworth Fri 11-Dec-20 07:38:54

It doesn’t help when posters give their threads titles which don’t give much of a clue as to what their thread is about.
It would help if GNHQ could merge threads - I know this is theoretically possible, but don’t know if GN techs are able to do it.

Just wondering how we can avoid multiple threads on the same subject. Three about Barbara Windsor so far ! Possibly posters don’t have a quick look to see if their topic is already on the forum ?
