How are we all going with our New Year’s resolutions, or not as the case may be!?
Still working through last year’s? Of course they were made when life was “normal”, but soon rendered irrelevant.
We are no longer “Young and Free” as was proclaimed in our National Anthem; no, it's not “I still call Australia Home”! It’s now “One and Free” in recognition of Aborigines.
The two remaining two Test matches are causing much grief in cricket circles with the NSW Sydney Test under attack by medical experts for being allowed with over 20,000 spectators. I’m not sure if masks will be mandated, but that would cut the noise of cheering as well as the spraying of spit. You’d have to be an idiot to attend rather than stay home and watch it in TV
Your pandemic stats are frightening viewed
from here, where we get into a tiz over a handful of new cases.
I think she said on TV that you have had 5 continuous days of over 50,000 each day! Surely I must have misheard!?
Spoke last evening with Granddaughter Alison who is a hospital nurse in Devon She spoke for most of the 1hr 50 min so it was good to see that she’s back to normal after her Covid 19 experience.
The streets in Bideford around where she lives are not gritted and being very frosty at 7.30am when she sets off for work, in the dark can be quite tricky as they are fairly steep slopes. She gets home in the dark too at 7.30pm.
Roll on Spring!
They never did get much snow in N.Devon, but there’s always a first time.
We’re not bothered by snow nor heat at the moment; temp was 7C below average today and felt decidedly chilly, but don’t worry; she’s forecasting 35C for next Monday! Can’t wait!
Welcome Chewsday! Hope it’s warmer and not so damp!
Good Health
