Scam vaccination texts/calls/tickets

I've just had notice that people are getting (for example) a call, with a vaccination appt.

After the call, a confirmation text will be sent, with instructions to click a link or press a number to confirm the appt.

I know none of us is daft, but just a reminder to be wary.

As many are expecting an appointment some may get sucked in to this so thanks MissAdventure for posting the warning.

Thanks. Can anyone who has had their first dose tell us how they were contacted, please? (I know that it may vary around the country, but I'm pretty sure that bank details will not be required!) grin

There's an email doing the rounds too, telling you to book a test and then asking you for your bank details.
I started a thread about it.
It looks just like it's from the NHS.

One of my neighbours received a phone call at 8.15 on a Sunday morning asking her if she wanted the vaccine. She was told where to go for it the next day. She is 83.

93 year old lady I help out had phone call from her surgery this morning. They offered to book her a time at the hall where they are doing the jabs, she said she couldn't get there as she is housebound after a couple falls and the woman said they will make a time to come to the house if she decides she wants it.

Thanks. That sounds much more likely to be genuine!
