ALDI - CLICK AND COLLECT

Well, as I have said oftentimes before, supermarket deliveries and click/collect are simply not a thing here in Germany. As Aldi is a German company I hope that the system will filter back to the home country.

By the time the pandemic is over, the culture of supermarkets packing and delivering directly to customers may just have reached us.

In the meantime, I shall have to continue donning my mask and going out to the shops.

PS Aldi does deliver but only the online shop with nonfoods. Hello Fresh also exists but that is incredibly expensive and they tell you what you want and you can't add a bottle of washing up liquid, a packet of cornflakes or anything outside of their menu concept.

Tesco do an excellent click and collect too. We have not been in the store since March and have been very well served by Tesco - seldom substitute, lots of offers and an easy to use order online system. I think Tesco have been brilliant throughout the pandemic.

I click and OH collects (outdoors) from Asda. Very efficient.

Thank you Berylsgranny, I am new to Aldi.
I am still shielding so haven’t been in a shop since Feb 2020. I will have a good look. My partner could ‘collect’ if I ‘clicked’.

I'm new to click & collect, but have just placed a Morrison's order. Didn't know Aldi's did it as well. Might do one there too. Quite like the convenience of going back into the order and adding things you've forgotten.

Not 100% sure but I did read somewhere that you can’t go back into an Aldi order the same as other major supermarkets

Doesn’t seem to be available in Oxfordshire yet

Thank you Berylsgranny and vegansrock. I wasn’t aware of that and will be checking availability in my area.

Our local Aldi has had this facility for 5-6 weeks now, haven’t used it yet though.

You can also get Aldi deliveries through Deliveroo.

Good Morning to all, not sure how public this is but did you know that Aldi now have a click and collect? Not all the areas yet but worth looking at to see if your area is. Happy shopping!
