Thank you indeed - I have bookmarked both these links, which will give me exactly what I had been looking for! (Not an internet radio, just bog standard. Baby steps!)
Is your new radio also an internet radio? If it is that will given you an unlimited choice of stations from all around the world and in many different genres.
I look at the radio 4 extra schedule every morning to check which comedy programmes will be played at lunchtime or early evening if more convenient. Today it was the Goon Show, tomorrow it will be Hancock's Half Hour. A useful repeat of the 630pm Radio 4 comedy is made at 530pm the following week eg I'm sorry I haven't a Clue, Just a Minute etc.
Thank you! I think my initial problem is that I 'don't know what I don't know', so can't yet tell an Alexa what to find for me! (More confirmation that I may be behind the curve!) Indeed, plenty of time to knob twiddle and explore during lockdown........
I have my first DAB radio but it has been superseded by my Eco - aka Alexa - which can get me virtually any radio station and my TV which accesses a range of radio stations and its music reproduction is excellent. Just try twiddling the knobs on your new radio and see what comes up!
Proud owner of a new radio from DH for Christmas. I had already said how I thought I might like Radio 4 extra for the rerun of 'funnies' from my youth (The Navy Lark, Round the Horne etc). I have 6 preset stations. What do GNetters suggest? I like current affairs- the World Service? -, classical music, 50/60s nostalgia. Any tips? - many thanks!
