I've received a few messages asking to continue the 1000 words thread. It has obviously given many people pleasure and some positivity. For anyone who doesn't know, posters come on with their photographs of pretty much anything and we take it from there. Nature is always a good one.

I have steam train envy, Corner! So sorry about your lovely dog, Ellianne. The new baby looks like a live wire though!
Here is a gap in the hedge from me.

Catching up. I’m sorry about your wonderful boy ellianne, how is your adorable, very photogenic new friend settling in?

A steam train trip for us yesterday. Enjoyed every minute.

I'm delighted to welcome this frog into my garden. He's already eaten a fat slug.

He’s gorgeous Ellianne. There’s a whole wide world out there waiting for him to sniff ?

Aldom Sun 25-Jul-21 19:24:51

Ellianne I'm so sorry for the loss of your dear golden boy. Made more painful by not being able to say goodbye. Your new little chap is gorgeous. Hope you make happy memories with him. flowers

I have found it very hard to come on here recently with any photos as sadly we lost our beautiful golden boy a couple of weeks ago. He was only 8 years old, such a loving dog, and sadly we didn't even get to say goodbye.

Anyway, some of you have seen this new fella lurking on an unrelated thread. We have only had him 24 hours but the camera shutter is working overtime.
Here he is ......

Thank you Aldom. It has a slight perfume to it.

Aldom Sun 25-Jul-21 13:16:54

A lovely rose. Is it perfumed.
In the evenings I am enjoying the perfume from my honeysuckle as it wafts in through the open door and windows of my sitting room.

Kate1949 Sun 25-Jul-21 13:03:54

This rose is called Buxom Beauty smile.

Magnifique May7. Just look at the sun's rays in the top right corner reflecting on the plant! Great photo.

I miss the sunflower fields in France but found this yesterday in someone's English garden. It was well over 8 ft.

Ellianne Thu 22-Jul-21 11:14:41

Sehr schön, so grün.

A walk in the Black Forest. We are spending a few days here just to support the local economy (!).

It's just over an hour's drive from us.

Ellianne Wed 21-Jul-21 12:36:34

Wow! Thank you for the architectural photos. Quite amazing.

Riverwalk Wed 21-Jul-21 12:32:58

A few cityscapes from last week to counter-balance all the lovely flowers and rural settings!

The funny cube thing is the American Embassy close-up, the others are of the two blocks that have the sky high swimming pool. It's all part of the same complex.

I was a bit disappointed that the pool is only about 10 floors up - expected it to be higher!
