Does anyone else just stay in their pajamas if you're not going out

Luckygirl it’s called central heating for a good reason?
Have all the radiators on but turned lower in the other rooms.
Nobody should have to wear all those layers unless they have a medical condition.

I do have the heating on, but not in all the rooms all the time - mostly just in the room I am in.

I live in a rather sprawling 3/4-bed bungalow. Only one of the bedrooms is in use so I only put the radiator on in there, and only for an hour or so before I go to bed. I mainly have the heating on in the living/dining room which is large with large windows and french doors - not a lot of wall around!

I have a wood burner which is great, but makes me wheeze - there is nothing wrong with it, it is just that it dries the air out. I do have it on quite a lot though to supplement the heating.

It is horrifying to watch the oil going down and down!

Gosh no! Up, shower, dress suitably for weather, hair, lippy, earrings. Can't imagine being in nightclothes all day & then, going to bed in same garb. Big no no from me. Each to his own I suppose.

I never stay in nightwear unless I'm ill - was up and dressed extra early this morning when I remembered had to put out the bins!

Lucky do you not put your heating on? I can't bear to be bundled-up so during the day wear jeans/trousers and a top/jumper.

I live in a small 2-bed flat and have all the radiators on if the heating is on. Heating not on overnight.

I love my pj’s but only in bed. I have to shower and dress even though I like casual clothes.

I am intrigued by those who are saying they just wear jeans and a top, and that they sleep naked!

Every day I wear: leggings with jeans over the top, a vest, a long-sleeved T-shirt, a polo neck jumper, another jumper and a thick fleece-lined wooly cardigan - and still I am cold!

At night I have a long sleeved vest, fleece pjs and a jumper - and have 3 quilts and two hotties - and still I am cold!

Are you all rich as Croesus and have the heating on in all rooms all the time?!

Have been known to do a bit of desultory housework in pjs before showering and dressing. Definitely relaxed tailoring at the moment but a bit of make-up and never without earrings.

Absolutely. Earrings and perfume whatever!

Thin edge of the wedge! Although I generally only see OH and son, I get showered and dressed straight after breakfast. So by 10 am I am ready for the day, even though we aren’t allowed to do much. OH on the other hand, is on a particular type of medication which renders him woozy until about noon.

Ugh, no. What about washing, underwear?
I like slobbing about in my dressing gown in the early morning, but nine o'clock is the absolute cut-off point.
Even started wearing dresses because I am sick of m jeans and jumpers.

A few years ago I was having a lazy morning and delayed showering and dressing until midday. A friend unexpectedly popped round and I felt so embarrassed !
Would I spend the day in night wear? There have been days I've been tempted if I wasnt going anywhere and no one was expected. I've never gone through with it. I very nearly did yesterday. I was surprised how my mindset changed just by a change of clothing! I also like the idea of getting undressed for bad. I live alone and like a few others have noticed time can fly by. I think it's good to have the basics of a routine. It doesn't have to be strict but as others have mentioned a longer change can indicate depression or low mood.
I suppose it's about feeling comfortable. As long as I would feel comfortable if I was on a video call I'm fine with it!
Theres a difference I think between comfortable and clean lounge wear and someone who doesnt feel the motivation to change out of the same clothes.
I have rarely worn make up since March. I love make up but dont feel need to wear it. I wear very casual comfortable clothes. I do have a lovely very soft fleece hooded cape which is perfect in winter for a cosy day.
I could never imagine going to shops etc in any form of nightwear. Strange isnt it,as long as our bodies are decently covered it shouldn't matter!

I do. I bought several pair of flannel lounge pants and matching cotton, long sleeve T's so I feel comfortable but not grungy.

I stay in pj’s if I’m not going out! So comfy. Shower every day and clean pj’s on. I have several pairs so it’s not a problem. I don’t like dressing gowns - too much material round my legs, so after my shower I put an oversize cardigan on top of my clean pj’s.

I’m off out in an hour so I’ll need to get dressed. Yes, earrings, perfume, lippy. But during lockdown this will be much less - maybe a walk in the park with my daughter or a friend.

I’m not depressed, I’m a happy bod, just like to be comfy! These are not normal times so I shun normal attire. Each to their own of course.

I'm a dresser, even if it is very casual. I still work (very casual workwear) but even on a weekend I am up and dressed usually by mid-morning.

Gosh that would really be bottom of the slippery slope for me. Think I'm already half way down in that I'm rising later - can't think of a particular reason to rouse myself when I'm so comfy and cosy with nowhere to go. However, once I do move, it's the temptation of the shower that is the incentive. I just love it in there washing away all (any?) bugs and sorrows. Yep, a kind of temporary bliss. Dressing is a bit more slovenly these days in that I often wear the same top layer and only do fresh underwear. To think that deciding what to wear was a daily pleasure. Not at the moment! I tend to wear comfy scruffs as I'm still into a wee bit diy but the real messy stuff is all done thank goodness. Have to say I was thoroughly impressed by my son and partner who quietly disappeared before dinner on Christmas Day and came back looking very smart. P was stunning in sleek shiny dress. Me? Strictly GP polar bear/penguin jumper!

I only stay in night clothing if I am ill. By getting dressed, making my hair presentable, and a touch of scent, I feel better even if we are isolating. DH occasionally stays in night clothes and it bugs me! ??‍♀️

I’m up and out for my pre-breakfast walk by 8.0am so in my walking gear. Can’t imagine spending any longer than necessary in my PJ’s.

No never in my nightwear, I stay in my dressing gown until I shower than it’s comfy long baggy dresses (no bra) till I go for my daily walk.

No, but esp. since the blasted virus I’ve been known to be still in my dressing gown with the paper/GN etc. until gone 11, and then have to wonder whether to answer the door in my lazy- baggage state, or pretend I’m not in.
(I do usually say sod it and answer it anyway.)

More than once I’ve spoken to my Swedish friend in Stockholm during lazy dressing-gown hours, she’s usually the same!

Wouldn't dream of staying in PJs all day. Shower, dressed and out with the dog at some point in the morning. It's a slippery slope!

I get up and shower every morning by 8.30 If a person stays in pjs all day do you shower and put pjs back on...or not shower each day? just wondering! I live alone and have no visitors!

lemsip If I know I am not going out during the day I will also shower first thing in the morning but change into a nice pair of PJs for the day,I have bedtime PJs and lounging PJs.

My day starts with the necessary visit to the toilet, quick hands and face wash and still in my night wear on with the kettle.I could not meet whatever the day has in store for me without first having at least two cuppas, maybe three ? of my Yorkshire brand tea.
