Do you do any form of sport?

Not nowadays. Used to be pretty active in various team pursuits. Hated athletics.

What time do you rise nowadays and has that changed as a result of lockdown?

I'm always up by eight o'clock, but lately it's crept up towards ten past eight sometimes... shameful!

We are being encouraged to plant a tree. What sort would you plant?

Do you stockpile any food item?

Yes, I'm a prepper. I started in Spring 2019 in case of a no deal Brexit.

On the same theme - how many loo rolls do you currently have?

Ten loo rolls are stored away which may seem excessive but I have two loos so they're shared out equally. I won't replenish stocks until I'm down to the last two in each.

If you were Lady Penelope in Thunderbirds who would be your 'Parker'?

Johnny Flynn, actor

What type of hat do you wear in the winter, if any?

I love hats. In winter usually a knitted one with a pompom, but in very cold weather a fleece hat to keep my ears warm.

What is your favourite breakfast?

Fresh fruit salad, on holiday, in Spain.

Do you think you are thrifty?

Not sure really. I nearly always cook from scratch but buy very good ingredients. I keep all shirts, towels etc for dusters. That sort of thing.

What house related job do you hate most?

Washing kitchen floor.

Favourite daytime TV show?

Escape to the country.

Do you wear bright clothes often?

Mostly in the summer. I do love bright clothes and have just ordered fuschia pink leather gloves.

If a recipe mentions breadcrumbs, I give it a miss.
What ingredients in a recipe make you do the same?

Potatoes , I use cauliflower e.g. for a shepherd's pie

Did you have long or short hair as a child?

Short

Do you have a bad habit you’re prepared to reveal to us?

Leaving tissues in pockets in clothes for the wash (that's one that I'll admit to!)

Who was your first best friend?

Mary, a girl who I went to infants’ school with. We were best friends until we went to 2 different grammar schools. Still remained friends but not so close.

What is your favourite cold drink (includes wine,spirits etc)?

Ginger beer.

Do you think you are true to your star sign?

Yes, a down to earth Capricorn with a hidden romantic centre.

If on a secluded walk you came across a badly hidden holdall stuffed full of used bank notes which could never be traced what would you do?

I’m an honest Joe and would take it to the police station.

Are you a sweet or savoury person?

Well I used to be a sweet person. Since I have reversed my diabetes I am of necessity a savoury person. 1 square of very dark chocolate of an evening.

Do you think you are weathering the lockdowns well?

It depends on the day and the weather. Since it’s getting lighter and we’ve discovered some new walks we’re doing better.

What’s the largest ornament in your house?

A white jardinaire. Bought it when we first married and cant bear to part with it.

What is your favourite mountain

Snowdon, love going up on the tram, but never had a clear view..

What personal possession have you lost, mislaid or had stolen which has upset you the most?

My engagement ring which belonged originally to DHs Grandmother. No idea where it went.
