Hello Everyone! smile

Thank you for joining in with the last ATPBYAQ flowers

Welcome to a new Lockdown Special - ask the person below you a question!

Questions can be related to 'the current climate' or, if you are heartily sick to death of all that, can be to do with anything at all.

Q: What is your favourite thing about lockdown?

FannyCornforth Wed 03-Feb-21 11:00:38

No! I can't for the life of me imagine doing that, but then I don't remember anyone being critical of my clothes (mother excepted, of course!)

Have you ever broken the law?

lovebeigecardigans1955 Wed 03-Feb-21 10:56:16

Yes, if I wasn't creative I'd go insane. First love was hand embroidery, through to patchwork quilting and now knitting socks.

Have you ever got rid of an item of clothing just because a past boyfriend didn't like it?

nanna8 Wed 03-Feb-21 08:15:55

2 Timothy in a bible study group

Do you do any craft activities ?

nadateturbe Wed 03-Feb-21 04:18:32

Best - French and German.
Worst - History.
I got the German prize one year and was presented with a book - Magellan's Voyage round the World. Straight into the bin.

Are you studying anything, if so what?

FannyCornforth Wed 03-Feb-21 03:53:52

Yes. The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole.
The first time I read it I was ten or eleven, and I've read it every year since I think.
I absolutely adore Sue Townsend. I nearly went to her funeral. I wish that I had met her to thank her for how much pleasure she had given me.

What were your best and worst subjects at school?
(Mine were English and Art versus PE envy and Maths)

nadateturbe Wed 03-Feb-21 03:39:01

Yes. I love black and white films.

Do you have a favourite book you have reread more than once and if so what is it?

hollysteers Wed 03-Feb-21 02:04:19

Bill Nighy and answering MissAdventure’s question which was overlooked, no, I’m not afraid of the dark, but I like a hall light on at night.

Do you watch black and white films?

Bathsheba Tue 02-Feb-21 14:53:50

Oh Emma Thompson (similarly flattering myself grin)

Who would you want to play opposite you in the story of your life?

FannyCornforth Tue 02-Feb-21 12:24:06

Helena Bonham Carter
(I'm flattering myself and being slightly tongue in cheek here, before anyone jumps on me!)

Brilliant question! Same question again...

Dee1012 Tue 02-Feb-21 12:18:41

I don't have a fire sad

Who would play you in the film of your life?

BBbevan Tue 02-Feb-21 12:14:45

Put them in a cupboard ready to give to a friend for her car boot stall.

If you have a fire, do you light it every day in winter?

Mollygo Tue 02-Feb-21 12:11:49

I resolved to keep the bird feeder filled this year. So far so good. It’s such fun to watch them and the numbers have increased since I’ve attended to it regularly.

What do you do with things you want to get rid of now the charity shops are shut?

lovebeigecardigans1955 Tue 02-Feb-21 08:58:59

No, I think it's too soon - everything's still up in the air.

Is there a New Years Resolution you managed to keep? What was it and how did it improve your life?

Billybob4491 Tue 02-Feb-21 08:18:36

Yes I have an Amaryllis and a Poinsettia.

Will you book a UK holiday this year?

nanna8 Tue 02-Feb-21 07:50:52

Most definitely not

Do you have any pot plants indoors ?

hollysteers Tue 02-Feb-21 00:24:42

Myself, as my parents or anyone else took no notice of me. Everything has been my own doing, although my late husband was a quiet support.

Are you a Royalist?

Patsy70 Mon 01-Feb-21 17:28:09

Thomas Hardy

Who has had the most influence on your life choices?

threexnanny Mon 01-Feb-21 17:01:56

Libertys - mostly just to look and admire the interesting mix of things rather than buy. Also like the wood paneling and stair case.

Who is your favourite author?

hollysteers Mon 01-Feb-21 16:37:57

Yes, if pledged to it.

Which is your favourite London shop?

Puzzler61 Mon 01-Feb-21 15:38:53

Aqua de Menorca fragrance.
My bottle is nearly empty and I would have purchased another last September but the holiday has been cancelled.

Can you keep secrets?

lovebeigecardigans1955 Mon 01-Feb-21 13:12:40

I loved 'Spiral' and am sad that it came to an end.

Is there a special smell that reminds you of past holidays?

MissAdventure Mon 01-Feb-21 13:11:56

Harvey and me.

Are you afraid of the dark?

FannyCornforth Mon 01-Feb-21 12:26:11

I can't drive!

What was the last thing that you watched that you really enjoyed?

hollysteers Mon 01-Feb-21 12:11:20

Yes, but have started chucking them out as don’t want children to read them, same with diaries/journals, as I have used them as a sort of therapy over the years, writing things out. I’m so boring now, there’s no need!

Do you enjoy driving and is your car, if you have one, manual or automatic?

D

MissAdventure Mon 01-Feb-21 11:44:48

No, never, although I think I'm pretty typical of my star sign (coincidentally, I'm sure)

Have you got a love letter stashed away somewhere?
