Hi Fanny, unsure how you mean when you say a visual artist (sorry, might seem a stupid question)?

Not having a nervous breakdown.
I'm not being glib, I'm amazed that my mental health has held up.
Not due to lockdown per se, but because of what I've had to deal with during lock down.

Who is your favourite visual artist?

I always wear a watch, except when it’s charging.

What’s your greatest achievement in lockdown?

Yes, I don’t do housework.

Depends on the colours I'm wearing but mostly a purple/pink

Close, just 4 or 5 miles.

Cross stitch and découpage.

Do you live far from the sea?

I have four prints by artist and taxi driver found on twitter shop on Etsy. They are original his own work made into prints. Very pretty put into four white frames.

Are you good at any crafts?

An etching done by an art school tutor.

This little top bought in 1971. No, I don't wear it. Much too small.

Definitely not online.


What is the oldest garment in your wardrobe, and do you still wear it?

In my younger days I had a few wigs and hair extensions but have not worn any for decades.
I'm not very good with hot weather and my hair tends to just flatten with heat and humidity, so before I visited my friend in Autralia for six weeks, I invested in a hair piece for evenings.
Very lightweight and so I was able to put my hair into a high pony
tail and attach the hair, looking good in hardly any time at all for meals out in the evenings.

Do you like clothes shopping or prefer to buy online.

I have a fireplace, (gas) but no chimney. The children were still told Father Christmas still came down it on Christmas Eve and a glass of sherry and mince pie left for him. ? It needs modernising as very 1960s...

No I never did like artificial flowers, I'm afraid!

Yes. Not always right the way through every evening, but mostly.

Has to be cheese really. Sometimes with sliced tomato or ham.

That's really tricky, I love both.
But there are a few less than perfect seaside places, so I'll go for the countryside.

What is your favourite 'thing' on toast?

Makeup and jewellery (in normal times)

Orchids because they seem to last forever.

When you go shopping what are the ‘extras’ you buy that you didn’t set out to buy ?

We planted 6 half-barrel large wooden pots with daffodils. I like to buy unusual varieties so this year they are dual coloured and doubles. Only the tips are up through the soil so far.
