Nothing annoys me too much except that sometimes a poster can get sarcastic and unkind about someone having a differing opinion - luckily this isn't too frequent.

What is the furthest distance you've ever lived from your birthplace?

Jewellery! But jewellery of my choice.
Lovely indoor plants, like orchids for example.
Perfume, scented candles, scarves, books. I'm very easy to buy for, my family don't seem to agree.

What do you find annoying about GN?

Bear in mind that I've always been financiallly challenged, so my most expensive shoes were only £60. A friend of mine had some which I admired; so I bought a pair for a wedding.
They are very comfortable but I've never worn them since.
They have a small stack heel and a strap across, like a Mary Jane shoe.

What is your favourite gift to receive and that you wish people would give you?

No, I wear lots of ankle boots though.
In fact I only wear ankle boots or trainers. I have very fussy feet.

What's the most expensive footwear that you have bought, and what were/are they like?

I used to, not so much now

Do you like doing jigsaw puzzles ?

Long summers with my Aunt and Godmother in her cottage in Gloucestershire. Also my children growing up.

Do you have a favourite perfume?

I wouldn’t want Monty to tackle anything, just to sit and talk would be wonderful.

What is your most happy memory?

Jane Eyre - I read it as a 12 year old and it has stayed with me.

For gardeners - if you could hire Monty Don for a weekend which jobs would you like him to tackle?

A neighbour recently celebrated her 80th birthday and I bought her a potted plant for the patio.

Most expensive-I just have them cleaned. Others, when I decorate or when I’m fed up with them so about 3-5 years.

I iron straight off the line. Much better result and enjoyable.

How often do you change your curtains?

About 2 or 3 times

Is your ironing basket always full or do you clear it straight away?

We usually work it out between the two of us. I’m better at button pushing, he’s better at wires etc.

How often do you run the washing machine per week ?

We’ve got one in August, deferred from last year, but whether we can go is another story.

Who deals with any new technology in your house?

I would be prepared to try it.

Are you planning any sort of trip for this year?

Occasionally, just for knits and towels

Would you eat laboratory grown meat?

No.

Do you use conditioner in your washing machine?

Yes quite often. I like the online news, but a newspaper is easier to read without losing your place and also has puzzles in. Used to get the Times or the Guardian, but now usually buy the i.

Have you had a Sunday dinner or afternoon tea delivered during lockdown?

Yes .

Do you buy newspapers?

Yes, aged 18. Oh dear. Drank far too much, far too fast and ended up outside the venue in my C&A's ball gown being sick in the gutter.

Have you ever been pursued by a married man?

No, the flavour is too strong for me.

Did you ever go on a blind date?

Bach

Do you eat game?

We don't have a lawn to mow now and when we did that was Mr. S's job.
